    Donny Osmond and my life

This week I turned 52 Now I have memories from six different decades. Of course most of those memories centre around Donny Osmond; seriously, give me a year, and I can tell you what Donny was doing. Okay maybe give me a decade. 60s: Singing with his bros and on Andy Williams 70s: “Donny & Marie,” Heart throb and super cute 80s: Re-emergence as total hottie 90s: Joseph and Disney (Mulan) 00s: Johnny Bravo and Dancing with the Stars 10s: Vegas Got married? Donny’s career was quiet. First baby? ‘Soldier of Love.’ It’s a walk down memory lane with me and Donny!! Next memory lane walk will be with the Cassidy Brothers.

    Week 2...CRAVINGS!

Alrighty Before I start I just want to say thank you to KatTastic for commenting on my first entry. I acutally did break down and bought a bigger size not to long ago, as much as it hurt. Your are most definietly right its going to feel so good not to be able to wear them! Good luck to you and your weightloss success! Now, where was I? Oh yes, cravings! This is week 2 on my Jenny life style and I am finding that I want my old food. I've cheated....twice...gasp I know! I feel so bad about it. But I think I've figured out why. I have a very hectic schedule. Now I know, most of you don't know what thats like (sarcasm anyone?) but I do. I'm working 3rd shift one day, than 1st shift and the next 2nd, I mean its really hard to know when to eat. My consultant says that's my challenge this week, to eat every 3 hours. BUT example 1: I was up all day today and ate my jenny meals. Now I went to bed at 7pm and got up at 9:45 to go into work at 10:30pm. I have to stay up all night tonight and sleep all day tomorrow because I work 3rd and so...do I eat tonight? Do I snack? AHH Has anyone ran into this problem? Its highly frustrating. Also, I get really, really hungry. Like I"m going to literally be sick if I don't eat, which, cough, lead to some cheating, but its usually around dinner time. Has this happened to anyone else. I'm also a bit worried because I might be expecting and if I am I don't want to harm the baby by not eating as many calories. But thats a story for another time. I was just wanting to know if anyone has cravings on here and how do you all deal with them. I like blogging about it because it helps me vent. I need venting, so I don't go into my kitchen and eat all the left overs from the past week. Thats right I'm an emotional eater here. Does it get easier after the 2nd week? My first week went well, only lost 2 lbs though, which was a bit of a let down. BUT ITS 2LBS LIGHTER! I'm needing some pep I guess. I hope everyone is having a better start to their week than me. This post is short and sweet tonight. I need to do some mindless things on the internet, like facebook or tumblr. Have a great rest of the week lovelys! I again am sorry for the bad spelling and poor grammer!
  6. Week 4 is over woo! Every week makes me jump with joy because of the fact that I am one step closer to my goal. I also learned an important lesson this week, as you can tell by my entry title. I was so stressed this week because I have had so many tests and huge projects that have been due, therefore my eating/exercise/sleeping patterns haven't been the best. I was pulling all nighters, constantly starving. Therefore my meals were not as spaced out as they should have been. (There was even one day when I had two snacks in one day, yikes not the best choice). Anyway, with all my stresses, I didn't make time for exercise and honestly I was starting to feel a bit under the weather (It's a winter wonderland right now here in Alberta, Canada! ), probably from the allnighters and bad habits of the week. I was so worried to weigh in thinking that I didn't lose weight or even gained as I fell into the death trap of weighing myself near the end middleish of the week. Well, I weighed in today and I lost 3.1 pounds yippeeeeee!!! I also got my measurements done and I have lost 7 inches since I've started! That was some really hardcore motivational news that I needed to hear. To think that I was almost going to reschedule my weigh in over something so silly!! This made me realize who cares if I had one semi-bad week? There is no reason to sit here and make myself worried over something I can't change, I just have to pick myself back up again. Next week I'm going to be better and work harder to be more on plan. With everything that went on this week I'm so happy to almost hit the 20 pound mark and at this rate next week I should make my goal for October - being in the 260 range!! I hope (and know!!) that everyone has/had a fantastic weigh in this week!! Don't give up! And my most important advice that I deffs should have listened to a long time ago is never weigh yourself during the week. From now on I am going to wait for my JCC to do it so I don't get so worked up over it. -Jess
  7. Woohoo week 3 is done and onto week 4!!! I was happy with my weight loss this week - 3.8 pounds I was a little nervous to weigh in because I hadn't done much exercise this week because my house was broken into while I was home, so I was a little freaked out by going on my usual late night walk. This week I am pulling out the old treadmill and I am going to devote more time this week to exercise - and DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!! That is really important to me because I have always had problems getting all my water in. Anyway; my total weight loss as of now (3 weeks) is 14 pounds ! I hope all of you had a fantastic weight loss this week!!
  8. It has been a day since my weigh in and I have already been put to the test dozen of times since then! I am happy to say that I have still stuck to my jenny craig plan and I must say the barscotti is fantastic! As well as the pumpkin cakes, but I'm sure we all knew they were going to be . Living with a family of 4 is hard, especially when I come from a family that can eat loads of bad, fattening food. Within two days they have managed to have takeout twice, but instead of me drooling over their food, we engaged in a fun conversation about our days while I munched on my favourite Jenny meal, fajitas (yum!). I pulled my favourite sweater out of my closet today and I already noticed a different in the fit, which really motivates me to just stick with it because nothing feels as good as being fit and healthy!
