Week 7 already?




Wow! I can't believe I am already in my 7th week... on the one hand it feels like there's no possible way I'm almost 2 months in and on the other hand, some days seem to drag on forever. I lost another 2 pounds during week 6. I can't wait to see what's in store this week.

I feel so much more in control of my actions. I don't lust after food anymore. I may still drool a little but that's a different story, haha! Tonight was wonderful! For the first time in years I decided to walk around uptown Westerville (Ohio). I've lived there off and on for ten years but I never found time to do this. I took my daughter to the park and my husband met us at the library. We walked down the quaint little street and had dinner with my parents at the Old Bag of Nails (famous for their fried pickles, fish, and corn) I did not partake in any of these :) And I didn't feel like I was missing out.

I really love this program and I'm glad I have a JCC that is flexible and understanding. She doesn't get on me for the times where I eat on my own. She has confidence in me and that makes me have more confidence in myself. I hope everyone is having a good week.

Congrats to you for making time for you and your daughter in the park! Making time for you and your family trumps all other things. But congrats on losing 2 pounds too. :-)

Your triumph over lusting after food almost sounds like the biggest victory of all despite my earlier statement. Why? The victory over food will help keep you with your family longer in the grand scheme of things, yes? So, that brings me back to my original point where family trumps all.

My reasoning may be weird, but there is a malformed logic to it...lol.

Woohoo another awesome loss - I am happy for you! :D And also resisting the temptations at dinner is great, I know how hard it can sometimes be! That's awesome that you looked past it and didn't even miss it - JC has a great way of not making you feel like your missing out, not to mention the guilt I always feel after eating out - so I imagine you feel great that you stayed on track. (: And I agree with what you said about having an understanding JCC because I feel like one of the true things that makes this program perfect (other than believing in yourself and staying motivated!) is having a wonderful and understanding JCC. I am so grateful for my JCC and it is part of the reason why I know I will get to my goal and motivates me to go to the centre every week, she's awesome!
