After writing my first blog, I never visited this community part of the Jenny Craig website again until recently.
Even though I still have lots to go in my journey, I have come to realize something important about weight-loss: weight-loss is a lifestyle change, and not just a diet.
When I am on Jenny Craig now, I am no longer picky about the food items I want to replace, or mixing and matching ideas to satisfy my cravings for food. I no longer fuss over how quickly I want my results or how far I still am from my (what seems like forever never-ending) final goal.
Weight-loss is about a change of MIND.
Now when I am losing weight, I see it not because I want to be skinny and good-looking anymore, but because I am improving self-control and self-restriction. In life we cannot have everything we want, and this is just another part of it.
I truly believe that the willpower against your desires is a blessing to be practiced everyday.
So I am now taking weight-loss slowly, one step at a time
