Yesterday was 4 weeks on Plexus Slim Accelerator and I'm down 10.4 pounds, 10.75 inches, and 3% body fat. I'm more than happy with that! Hubby and I went on a hike yesterday and we covered 8.71 miles, including some rough terrain. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again! I can see this becoming a regular habit. Week 5 (7 Oct -13 Oct 12) Plexus Slim Review I'm getting back to my active self. I logged approximately 24 miles on the treadmill this week and 8 miles hiking. My endurance and speed are improving. So what did all of this do for my weight you ask? Well, I actually gained almost a pound this week. However, my body fat dropped .7% this week, so I'm not upset. I know I'm gaining muscle with all the running, and I also dropped another 3/4 of an inch. So total my body fat is down 3.6% and I've lost

I started wearing my Fitbit again a few days ago and have made sure I've logged at least 10,000 steps a day. But today it's time for a workout! I started a fitbit step challenge last Tuesday and we have been doing so well. Currently we have 7 members. So far in April, we have collectively logged: 941,786 steps, 405.51 miles, and 2,823 very active minutes How impressive is that? I think it will be a good week on the scale! I went out to eat today with my mom and hubby. We went to Coastal Flats. I didn't get my favorite appetizer (crab fritters)...or any appetizer for that matter. I got the lobster roll (delicious, but I only at half) with salad instead of fries, and corn on the cob. I ate the whole salad with only a little dressing and ate only half the corn on the cob. I went grocery shopping last night and picked up some great fruits and veggies, light chocolate soy milk, and some light ranch dressing. What a difference those items have made since last night! Today with lunch and dinner I had a spinach, carrot, and pickle salad with some low-cal ranch dressing, which really made the meal better.

Are you a scale watcher? How often are you weighing yourself? Or are you only weighing at JC? I tell myself to only weigh-in at JC, but it's so hard. I weigh myself every day against my better judgment. I'm the type of person that likes instant results. I know that's not logical, but it doesn't stop me from doing it. I mean surely if you are only eating 1200 calories a day and exercising you will lose weight each week. So, in turn, that should mean the scale should move at least a little

I'm feeling such guilt right now. I just finished dinner at a wonderful restaurant where I shared appetizers, main course, and dessert. I also had two glasses of wine. Why, oh why?? I completed 6 miles today...coincidentally on my sixth day of JC. 2 miles on the treadmill and 4 miles on the eliptical. That's pretty impressive since I had the most disgusting breakfast (to me) before my workout--the Ranchero Breakfast Skillet. I will not be purchasing that one again. I woke up sick yesterday and had to take a day off work. I'm feeling better today, though, AND it's Friday AND I'm off work on Monday! Yay!
Even though I was sick yesterday, I finally dragged myself out of bed in the early evening and took a walk with my husband. Then later in the evening my mom and I took a walk. So depsite being sick, I managed to get about 5 miles in. I was very pleased with myself because I could have easily stayed in bed.

Since dropping 10 pounds, I am reenergized and I'm getting back to my old self. Although I had a relapse on Monday and went back to terrible eating for one meal, I vowed that evening to make up for it. And I did! Tuesday through Thursday of this week I have logged just shy of 18.50 miles on the treadmill and incline trainer. Yes, 18.5 miles in 3 days! That's the old me that I know. I forgive myself for Monday and pat myself on the back for Tuesday through Thursday! Happy Friday, everyone.
I decided today was the day to charge my Fitbit backup, get it on, and jump back on the treadmill and elliptical again! I logged 2 miles on the treadmill. I switched between a faster pace at zero incline and a slower pace at 15 incline. Then I moved over to the elliptical and logged 4 miles at a level 6. Tough workout! Off to a get start on my calorie burn for the week! My goal is to get to 10,000 steps a day minimum.
Sweat was pouring off me tonight as I did 30 minutes on the incline trainer, a Jillian Michaels incline program, and then 45 minutes on the treadmill. After that I lifted some weights, did some ab crunches, and then some stretching. I feel great; like I'm getting my old self back. I can't wait to get back into the full swing of running again. Today was my first weigh-in at JC. I'm so happy to report that I lost 4.8 pounds! It was about half day short of a full week, so I'm thrilled with that number. This week started out a little difficult getting adjusted back to such small portions, but by the end of the week it started to feel normal again. I'm confident that taking the Plexus Slim helped me lose at little extra. I know I can't hope for a number that big every week, but it's great to be off to such a good start.

I'm feeling old today! My oldest child, Jessica, turns 21 today. It's hard to believe how time flies by. Enjoy life because it passes us by so quickly. I saved my milk and fruit from this morning and ate it with my snack tonight. Oh my, was it delicious!! Felt like I was cheating with a big fat dessert! I had light chocolate soy milk, blueberries, and JC chocolate cheesecake. YUMMY!! Made today end on a very pleasant note.
I started this morning on a good note! I had my JC pancakes and sausage then decided it was time to get back to an exercise routine! I'm happy to report that I completed 5 miles (3.3 on the treadmill and 1.7 on the eliptical). Not nearly as easy as it used to be. I really need to get some pounds off to get a good pace back! Ate an anytime bar after my workout and either I was really hungry or it tasted good? I.can.do this!
So I was a JC girl many years ago, July 2006 to be precise, and now I'm back. I've let myself go in the past year and a half, and I'm disappointed. I've stopped running altogether and picked back up on bad eating habits. I actually started running when I was on JC the first time and grew to love it. Since that time, I've run 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, and marathons. I want to run a marathon again. I want to look and feel healthy again. But I know, at this point, I can't do it on my own.
Last week I decided it was time to go back to JC. I've let myself get back to large portions and stopped working out, and that does NOT work for my body! I had my first JC visit last Wednesday and immediately felt a sense of motivation. I went out and bought a food journal and a new water bottle. Since then I've been documenting all of my food and beverage intake and have really increased my water consumption. I also squeezed in three workouts this week. To help assist me in the weight los
