As I stared jenny, It been hard to do the right thing on the weekends, and plus the time I forget my lunches at work. I been trying to remember to try to stay in tack on the weekend but its been so hard to stay on track and I been staying the same weight, but also I have been feeling different, and looking different, but I see no difference because of my weekends I have not been loosing. I alway say I am going to at least choose on day but been both day of the weekend. This June now into july weekends beeen so busy for me to stay on track. i want stay on track but it been so hard.
Ideas for forgetting lunches what can I replace with it if I forget for workdays
Ideas for helping to get my weekends together even if I can't use the Jenny Program foods.
It's been only since Thursday that I've stopped consuming the bars and shakes and boy do I feel better! I was really struggling with those food items and now that I'm not eating them, I can honestly say that I've got this! I've also eliminated certain food items for lunch and dinner that cause my stomach grief. I've replaced the bars and shakes with lactose free yogurt and well...there are other shakes out there that have the same nutritional content and I'm having those.
I'm on my way to success and I've already lost another pound since Thursday! Woot!
I just rejoined Jenny, and I bought some dream shakes. Does anyone have any ideas about how to make them taste better (I'm on the 1200 calorie plan, so I don't have too much wiggle room with fruit). Thank you!!
I'm not sure if i can continue on Jenny. I'm someone who has a lot of issues with my digestion. Prior to Jenny I was instructed by my doctor to be dairy free and to eat no processed foods which I did. It had been about 6 months and I was feeling pretty good and sort of put it out of my mind that I had these issues. But now with this processed food plus the bars and shakes and everything else that has a milk product (which is a lot of things), I'm really struggling here. I won't go into the details but let's just say this isn't just an upset tummy. This is interfering with my life!
I will be going tomorrow to get my last weigh in but I think this is going to be it for me. I'm going to have to take what I know from being on Jenny and transfer it to whole foods. I was told by my doctor to "shop the perimeter" of the grocery store because everything in the center is processed. While this is obviously fine for a lot of people, I just can't take it anymore.
I really have to be a lot more discerning with the menus. Some of the food really do a number on my stomach. For one, before I started JC, I was pretty much dairy free. Dairy plays a number on me. While I've been taking my pills to help digest the dairy in JC foods, some of them I just cannot have....the corn chowder played a number on me last night. Oy! Also, a lot of the foods that are not frozen bother me. Plus the kung pao beef. For a few years I've not purchased anything packaged to eat. I usually eat whole foods (no pun intended but I usually shop there lol) and eat no preservatives. Lately my stomach is not happy.
Hopefully I will be able to eliminate all the soups for lunch, the kung pao beef, mesquite chicken and most of the unfrozen meals. I'm doing so well and I don't want to stop but my stomach is miserable!
Does anyone else have this issue?
I just devoured my delicious lunch of JC Kung Pao Beef to which I added a serving of steamed cauliflower rice. I mixed it all up and topped it off with a little sriracha sauce. It was delicious and very filling.
I'm interested in how YOU volumize the Kung Pao Beef entree.
I just want to point out that Jenny Craig does not offer a lot of whole grains. Instead of offering lasagna made with white enriched flour, why not offer lasagna made with whole grain flour?
Also, for example they have things such as cinnamon rolls, chocolate muffins, etc. foods that are considered highly addictive to us people trying to lose weight, yet we're only able to eat a tiny portion of those things. Thus of course it makes it difficult for us to stick to the plan when we will just crave more.
We're paying hundreds of dollars for these food and I think we deserve something that is more satisfying with larger portions and healthier options instead. What do you guys think?
So there are a few food items I wish Jenny Craig would make. Cause I miss them, and am still kinda nervous to try to make them on my own. I keep thinking I will mess up and make them too fattening or not get the portions right and mess up my plan.
Chicken Tenders (I know its a weird one to want but I keep craving it)
Chocolate Chip Cookies or their own ice cream.
A new cake flavor would be nice, cheesecake or regular.
Shrimp Fried Rice or Chicken fried rice!
Thai food would be awesome
Also a soft pretzel for a snack would be awesome. I guess I could do with a new salty snack
Also they need to keep the Taco Chips on the menu.
Today for lunch I enjoyed the Classic Cheeseburger. I wanted to volumize with lettuce, a slice of heirloom tomato, pickle slices, onion, etc. but did not have any tomatoes besides tiny grape tomatoes. SO instead I sautéed some yellow onion slices and sliced white mushrooms. I sweated them down and then added a little garlic powder and black pepper. I piled that all on my burger and it was amazing. Super good! I can't wait to order another burger next week!
I really am enjoying the food. I think JC has improved the food to go along with the higher prices!
I'm very thankful I have kept up my Premier member "dues" of either $39 or $49 a year (its been so long I don't remember) that 30% discount sure does help!
I'm looking for suggestions on what to use to volumize the Lemon Garlic Shrimp. So far all I've come up is with some sautéed zucchini. In the fridge I have zucchini, mushrooms, green beans, broccoli, chopped kale, spinach, carrots, celery, sugar snap peas and riced cauliflower (and of course onion).
I'm curious to hear what other people have done.
Thanks for your input.
