Hi,
This is my first post so hello everyone. I joined JC 9 days ago. I am 31 year old 5 feet tall and have 30 lb to lose from 160lb. I have completed week one of the program and I did not cheat on the menu. I got weighed in yesterday and I have gained a pound in week 1. It's also not that time of the month for me. I am very discouraged and my 30lb goal seems unachievable. Most ppl here lost few lbs in the first week. Any words of advice for me.

The best advice is to stick with it. You are not the first or the last to show a gain the first week. There will be ups and downs and if you continually follow the plan you should have more losses than gains. Best of luck :)

i would recommend to drink drink and drink water as that helps flush out the sodium.  I found that my losses were higher when i really made sure that i was drinking all the fluid we are supposed to and more.

Stay with it your body needs to adjust and you may be surprised the next week with a lose

Today is my first day on JC. I have had success both times I have been on it. I have about 90 pounds to lose. My goal is to make my appointments each week at JC and to remain on the program for 1 year. I am not setting a weight as my goal. I know that if I do I will be discouraged when I don't lose enough each week. It's going to be great in a year to be less then I am now. I am very competitive with myself so for me I have to make my goals things I can control and I can control my devotion. Make sense?

Welcome Joyawakes and yes it does make sense and everyone needs to know what works for them and what does not to motivate and stay on track.  One thing i do is i make my appointments a few weeks in advance so i know i always have them and am holding myself to that schedule each week -  enjoy and stay motivated
