I've always loved the saying "There's strength in numbers." How true that is when we all come together for our challenges? I've never know a more supportive group of people as I have found here that encourage and support one another to reach our goals of a healthier, fitter body. I am so thankful for you all for making these challenges so much fun. We make a pledge and working hard to achieve our goals...whether we reach them or fall a little short, we still get a little closer to our ultimate goal weights with each challenge we do. That's what matters; moving forward!

Let us continue to inspire and motivate with this Memorial Day challenge. It'll officially start on Monday, April 21, the day after Easter. But you can join at any time, be it today or a few days before this challenge ends, which will be on May 26. That gives us 5 weeks to make a difference in how we look and feel.

In case you're new to challenges, all you do is state how many pounds you'd like to lose during this challenge or how many workouts you'd like to do, whatever goal/goals you have in mind. Just remember to be reasonable; Rome wasn't built in a day, and there'll be plently more challenges in the future to make more goals to work on. Let's take our losses off a little by little and watch them add up over time.

usa2.gif

For this challenge, I'm going to concentrate on exercise consistency. I'm loving what my T-Tapp workouts are doing for me in the short time I've been doing them. So my goal is to continue to do a full T-Tapp workout 3 times a week.

memorial_day_candle-1852.gif

How about you all? Step on up and claim your spot and tell us what you want to accomplish during this challenge. The more the merrier, folks!!

I'm in. This came at a perfect time for me. I had a really awful day, both at work and with food, so I need some inspiration!

My goals are to lose 5 lbs from my starting weight, as well as to NOT turn to food when I'm feeling stressed. I've also been toying with the idea of going back to JC food. I know I can do it without it, but it's like a security blanket during this crazy time in my life (i.e. 70 hour work weeks). I'm going to sit on it and update you guys when I decide.

Okay, so I am new to challenges but I will join the party! Sandy, I want you to know that your journal entries are so helpful to me. My most recent return to JC was in mid-March. The weight loss has been slow but I am still on board. My weigh-in is on Monday so I will post my goals after that.

I am so in! I love these challenges as well. I'm not sure that I'm going to set a "weight loss goal" per se though. I think my goal will be more toning oriented.
I'll post them on Monday when the challenge starts!

thanks Sandy!

I'm in too!  My goal during this challenge is three-fold:

1.  To stay 100% on plan

2.  To exercise 5 days a week for one hour (I already do 45 min every now and thenn! LOL)

3.  To lose 10 pounds, or whatever comes off

Thank you Sandooch for starting this challenge.  I look forward to this journey with everyone!

You are all very welcome.  And thank you everyone for all that you do during the challenges: the encouragement to others, posting gifs and pictures and inspiring others with your successes...big and small.  You all rock!  grouphugg.gif

I know I won't reach my waist loss measurements for the Easter challenge, but I'm not very bothered by that.  It'll come off when it's ready to.  What I do know is that because I set that goal, I'm exercising with 100% consistency, something I haven't done in years.  And while my inches have basically stayed the same during the past few weeks, I can feel my muscles firming up and see them taking shape.  That makes me feel great and motivates me to keep going... just like you all do when I read your posts.  We may fall once in a while, but we get back up and keep moving forward.  Yay!!

Welcome to all the new challengers, too.  You can do this!  We are all here for you and know your stuggles.  We'll help you through them, beam with pride at your triumphs and kick your booty (gently) when you need a kick start.  Just remember to post often to help keep your motivation up.

My official weigh in is tomorrow.

I'm going to be ambitious and make my goal ten pounds in five weeks, from wherever I am tomorrow. I am also going to do two yoga classes a week. My work schedule is very unpredictable but I've decided that if I can't make my local class I'm going to drive downtown to the big yoga center (I've never been there before).....and take advantage of their drop in classes on days I can't make my regular class close to home. No excuses! I have to make peace, tranquility and a strong and healthy body a priority!

I had a horrible week last week and gained six pounds in two days. As of this morning I am less than a pound away from getting it all off. I am so hopeful that tomorrow I will have lost it all and maybe even an ounce or two more!

But, wherever I am tomorrow, that's where I'm starting.
