Day 1...again...

I did JC 10 year ago and lost 85 pounds...unfortunately life and stress happened and I gained all back...and then some. Now I have 165 to lose. I am excited to be back on the program, and know I will lose if I follow the program. It is just so easy for my negative self-talk to take over and convince myself I will never make it to my goal. I am really hoping to find some folks on here that also have a lot to lose and we can support each other in this journey!

Wk 1: -2.0  (338- boo!  really hoped to lose more than 2)

Wk 2: -3.0  (335- ok, that's better!)

Wk 3: -4.4  (330.6- YAY!  I started walking)

Wk 4: +.04  (331.0- Cry!!  Hoping the scale is just adjusting to me starting to exercise)

Wk 5: -3.0   (328.0)

Wk 6: -3.2   (324.8)

This is my third time with JC.. and I share your pain!!
I restarted several weeks ago and, although the weight loss is slow, I am happy and excited about the changes in my diet and overall health. I am exercising a lot more and I know the weight will come off if I commit to the program.
The food is really tasty.. and I wonder why I stopped for so long.

Memorial Day Challenge goal - 5 lbs in next two weigh ins = 265.2 by May 26, 2014 - 264.8 May 24, 2014 :wub:

 

July 4th challenge goal - 10 lbs in next 6 weigh ins = under 255 by July 5, 2014

I too understand. I am so scared of getting out of control AGAIN.  I always get to 247-8. Lost 50 gained 60, lost 70 gained it back then lost 80. Dang. Now I am 22 pounds up. This yoyo has to stop. First goal to b back to 248 by my birthday 8-17. Then one-derland. Doing this on my own has awful results. I need accountability and encouragement. Goal setting n tracking. DAILY!!!!! I always did the best on here. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. I need a constant reminder of that.

lost one pound, a dent but excited for this journey.  I need to stay focused on this goal. I really need a buddy to help. Where we can inspire each other. A few would b good. Looking on here people do not use this as much as they did in the past. Posts r far apart. When u have 100 to lose we need help

sweetbum, please join us in the holiday challenge threads.  I just put up the 4th of July one (the link is in my signature).  People post on there quite often and offer lots of support and encouragement.  They are lots of fun to do, too, because we break up the weight we want to lose into smaller goals for each challenge, which typically last for 4-6 weeks).  It makes it seem less daunting.  At the end of each challenge, I tally up the groups total weight loss, and post a new thread on that.  It's so fun to see how much we've lost as a group.

 

Also, I would love to suggest a book that has helped me and others here who struggle with emotional eating and the weight-loss/weight-gain roller coaster.  It's called The Beck Diet Solution (you can find it at a great price on Amazon) and it teaches cognitive thinking...training your brain to think like a naturally thin person does.  It's been a great help to many of us.
