Are you a scale watcher? How often are you weighing yourself? Or are you only weighing at JC? I tell myself to only weigh-in at JC, but it's so hard. I weigh myself every day against my better judgment. I'm the type of person that likes instant results. I know that's not logical, but it doesn't stop me from doing it. I mean surely if you are only eating 1200 calories a day and exercising you will lose weight each week. So, in turn, that should mean the scale should move at least a little each day, right?!? When the scale doesn't move in the right direction or worse it moves in the wrong direction, I start to wonder what I'm doing wrong. I know I can't be the only scale watcher! How do you control yourself from stepping on the scale every day or worse several times a day? I'm going to try to hide the scale from myself for the rest of this week. My second weigh-in is on Wednesday.

I weight every single day. For some reason, it helps to keep me on track!

If you can't handle it if it goes up a bit from what it was the day before and this happens sometimes than you should try to only weight yourself at JC. It helped me cause I usually always saw a loss every week doing this and didn't have the mind games as before when I weighed daily. Everyone is different and you have to find what works for you so just try to keep in mind even if the scale isn't giving you the numbers you think you deserve your losing inches and those I'll take all day long over what the scale says...remember inches lost= smaller sized clothes!!! Yea baby

I could be an obsessive scale watcher very easily! I control it by allowing myself to weigh in Saturday morning at home, then at JC later that morning and that's it for the week.

hubby and I are both on jc and weigh in everyday, some days it fluctuates but then falls back off, need to know we are always on track!! beware tho, the scale at jc is 5 lbs MORE than we weigh at home on our fairly new, accurate, calibrated scale!

I step on the scale morning and night.  I have even tried to stop by removing the batteries, but that just unsettles me and I can't settle, so I step on and hope for the best...

Now that I'm on maintenance I'm not sure how often I'll weigh.. Maybe twice a week? I'll try that and see how goes.

This is a super old topic, but I have been weighing every day. Sometimes it is discouraging, but it helps me to see quickly the bad choices I am making.

For example, I had a friend coming into town and wanted to go out to dinner with her. We went to Genghis Grill where I thought I could make wise choices. I got about 3 oz of chicken and fish, and then lots of veggies, along with spices and sauces. The next couple days my weight went up 2 pounds, but then dropped again. Those sauces must've had a LOT of sodium. As long as my weight keeps dropping at Jenny on Tuesday mornings, I am OK with it fluctuating throughout the week.
