Adding in food not jenny craig bread at dinner.. not losing at plataue

Hi has anyone started adding in food that isnt Jenny Craig food like i have for the last week. Tomorrow I am back on only jenny. Lets share and get support

Been there, done that at the beginning when I first started in 5/2012. The week before I started Jenny I was on WW for almost 20 years. You can take the girl out of WW, but... So, I began adding my salad fixin's reasoning that as long as I write it down it should be fine. Well, just because you write it doesn't mean it doesn't have any calories. Before I knew it I was adding to my salads feta cheese, bacon bits, croutons and creamy dressings. But I was measuring EVERYTHING. Really?! Follow your menu and all will be good. Don't go ad libbing! The results are not positive. I definitely lived and learned the hard way!

I have been but I am doing MOMO. Are you talking about that or just adding in additional foods that aren't JC?

there is a difference on if you are managing your own meals or planning on doing the JC plan - what you add is fruits and veggies. I agree that it is best to stay on the plan add what you are allowed and when you are ready for maintenance then you start to wean out JC and put in your own food.

to start it really is best to stay within the plan unless you are counting your starches, meats etc which honestly for me is harder to do

If you add (i.e., the occasional glass of wine), you must skip (i.e. your triple chocolate cheesecake).

Sometimes, it's totally worth it, but you can't double dip.......and still lose weight.

No matter which way you go: eating JC food or doing the meals on your own. They must be portion controlled. Cause as Carmen said you can't just have whatever you want. Well you can actually as long as you follow the plan.
Why are you going back on only Jenny?

I started the plan on Apr 1st and have eaten foods that are not in my plan & have gone over my allotted calories several times. When I do this I simply do extra exercises - calories in calories out. I have consistently lost 2-3 lbs per week.
