I thought it would be a great idea to have a food pics topic.  I like to post pics of my food and I LOVE to see pics of other peoples food (maybe I'm weird? but that's another topic!  LOL)
Hopefully yall will think it is a good idea.  We can post pics and give a brief description of what we did to change it up!  It will give us ideas and maybe it will help those that get bored with the food.

So here is my 1st pic.
I'll call it my Deconstructed JC Omelette!  Here is what I did: After microwaving for 3 minutes, I scraped out the cheese and discarded (don't like it) I sauteed some onions, peppers, and mushrooms with the potatoes from the omelette meal then  moved it to the side of the pan and added the egg to heat through (flipping it over a couple of times).   I added a wedge of Laughing cow cheese after it was hot!

Weird?!?  Are you kidding?  On tumblr we call these pics food porn.  LOL  It excites the eyes.  I love this idea, Kyra.  I only wish I had seen this post before I ate my rising crust pizza this morning; it looked divine (yes, I have my pizza for breakfast :P ).   But I will definitely do this with my beef slider for lunch today because I'll be adding grilled peppers to it.

This sounds great!  Well, the idea does because I don't like tomatoes or peppers.  lol  But I think this is a great idea to show volumizing in real life situations.  I'd take a pic of my lunch but it's a MOMO as a salad.  tonight is pretty basic with my rising crust pizza (I don't add anything to it, I like it the way it is).  Tomorrow I'm going to make my potato soup for lunch and I'll snap a pic there.

Sandy...I was going to call the thread "food porn" but I didn't want to offend anyone!  LOL

Gwen....I (personally) would love it if we included MOMO food!  That way MOMO and/or DOMO days won't be so scary!  I love and appreciate all ideas!

Very true!  I am comfortable with breakfast and lunch on my own.  But dinner MOMO's scare me.  I don't know why, but they do.  I fear that gets a little more complex and is going to require a lot more planning.  Breakfast and lunch are simple.  And snacks, those are easy too.  Just finished eating my salad otherwise I would have taken a pic.

MOMO - Enchiladas ... These equaled out to a total of 600 calories but just know you can make them lighter than I did and this was on a day when I planned on being going for a long time before dinner and had hip hop ... my total calorie intake for that day was 1398. And you could just do two enchiladas :) The 4 oz of chicken was too much for 2


3 soft flour tortillas (Old El Paso brand)
Green chile enchilada sauce (or red if you prefer)
½ c 2% Milk shredded Colby jack cheese

4 oz. chicken tenderloins cooked in pam seasoned with Taco Seasoning, salt, pepper and garlic powder (shredded)
2 tbsp sour cream
Green chiles (small can)
¼ c. chicken flavor rice side (Knorr brand made with no butter or oil)

Mix together the shredded chicken, chiles, sour cream and rice

Spray pan with Pam and put a layer of enchilada sauce at the bottom of dish

Fill tortillas with mixture, roll and place in pan

Cover with enchilada sauce and top with cheese. Bake 15-30 minutes at 350º

**To make lighter – don’t add rice, use 1 tbsp sour cream vs. 2 (or greek yogurt) and only ¼ c of cheese (or cheese free, dare you... not me... I love cheese). You could even make two enchiladas with about 2 oz of chicken. But as I said this kept my REALLY full. It was a great lunch on a busy day.

I would also make a side of grilled onions and bell peppers :)

Okay, so I plated my lunch beautifully and took a few pictures, but now I'm having trouble downloading them into my computer.  I never had any problems before, but my husband recently installed McAfee and I think that's what's causing this problem.  I'll have to wait until my husband comes home and ask for his help with this.

I just love seeing the food pics!  I just finished week 5 of JC and the pics y'all post are a great inspiration for me.  In the past, my veggies were always secondary to the "main course" of high calorie/fat meals.  The streamed plain veggies weighed down under butter and salt were a sort of check in the box that yep, I ate some veggies today.

I'm so happy to say I am discovering some delicious ways to prepare veggies in a healthy way and they are now the "main course" to me.  A big part of this transition is because of the great posts and pictures that I have seen and adopted.

Kyra, you are the princess of nummy vegetable and volumizing ideas.  Love love your posts and pics.  Thank you!!  I'm having the beef slider tomorrow for lunch and planning it after your pic!

Jessica, I'm copying and saving your recipes for the day way down the road that I start MOMO's.  To me, MOMO's are gonna be a scary place to go, but with healthy ideas saved up, I'll feel much better I'm sure.

So keep those great food pics n recipes coming.....finding them is like picking up little gems along the road on this journey!

Okay, hubby couldn't figure it out either, so I had my daughter download it to her laptop to send to me.  Geeze...what a pain!

Anyway, here it is finally.  My Beef Slider topped with some sauteed peppers, spinach and a little ketchup and mustard with a side spinach salad, also mixed with the remaining peppers and tossed with a tablespoon of lite Italian dressing.  I also had my Red Velvet Cake CARBmaster yogurt (60 calories) and some delicious Citrus Green Tea.  I felt satisfied and happy.  Who wouldn't, right?

Here is my dinner...it's a MOMO....a small piece of steak, green beans with chopped onion and tomato on top (if you have not tried this, I highly recommend it!  delish) and half of a baked sweet potato with a couple sprays of I can't believe it's not butter.

It is a great topic, Kyra!  And thanks for the compliment.  I can't believe how satisfied that meal kept me.

Tomorrow is a MOMO day for me, so I'll take a picture of my strawberry smoothie tomorrow morning.  I've got to make certain to measure everything out so that I can get a more accurate calorie count to post with it.

I was inspired by Cate to buy some Asparagus last night and added garlic, Omigosh with the Pesto Chicken this was a DELICIOUS meal!  I love this forum.

Here is my newest addiction! Oatmeal! It's very filling! This is 1/2 cup of oatmeal. I mix in cinnamon, vanilla, a little stevia, a little skim milk, 1/2 a banana, a small handful of blueberries and a few sliced strawberries. It is divine!

And I'm looking forward to adding oatmeal to my breakfasts, too, once I'm totally off the JC foods. Right now I'm so into the smoothies. I've got a picture of one I made yesterday, but still am having problems downloading it to my computer. I have to ask my daughter to do it on hers and send it to me again.
