Let's list a few things we can do now that we couldn't do before we lost this weight with Jenny.

1. I can now reach my toes to paint them because my tummy isn't in the way.
2. I can cross my legs...and comfortably!
3. I can get up off the sofa or out of my car without making a grunting sound.
4. I can wear my wedding ring again...and it's actually getting too loose.
5. I can walk into a room with confidence and am actually starting to feel a little sexy again.

Your turn!

Put on a pair of pantyhose without running out of breath

Fit in the chairs at Sunday services

Wear my wedding ring

Shop in more than two stores

1. Walk past those plus sizes and even usually try a medium cause there's a good chance it will fit.
2. Take the stairs @ the mall and not have to stop halfway because I'm winded.
3. Walk all day long while on vacation without a nap (unless I want one!)
4. See people I hid from for a long time, not wanting them to see how out of control I was.
5. *Use a lot more love making positions, that weren't possible BEFORE :)
6. Go to bed feeling comfortable enough to do #5 above cause I'm not so stuffed with food!
7. I can actually lift some light boxes now, even with a bad back!
8. I actually like "me" better now.
9. I have very few headaches now, before they were bad and often.
10. I can go to my doctor's office and step on the scale: and wait for the doctor to comment (favorably) instead of being nervous about what she's gonna say!

1) I can run again. Used to be an avid soccer player and got to the point where I couldn't run
2) My wedding ring fits again
3) I can leave a plate with food on it ... always used to clean my plate and probably have seconds
4) My period is back and regular (not now post pregnancy but was and will be again)
5) Not ashamed to go buy clothes anymore

When you look in the mirror and see no change, and still keep faith, knowing that in time you will get there if you stay focused and on track, that's the difference between those who succeed and those who fail.

1. Not panic and immediately reach for food when I feel the first sign of hunger.
2. Not binge when I feel stressed, sad, lonely, upset..... (this is a big one!)
3. Walk up stairs, across parking lots, around the block without getting out of breath.
4. Look forward to socializing.
5. Look forward to getting dressed and having clothes that don't just cover my body but actually look good on me and fit!
6. Feel completely satisfied with the portion I have for my meal.
7. Look forward to eating the vegetable I serve with my meal.
8. Go home after work and not head straight for bed to take a nap because I lack energy because I have eaten such a fattening lunch.
9. Feel confident in my appearance and my interactions with people because I am not totally worried about how bad or heavy I look to others.
10. Wake up and smile, not hit first thing with the concern of "what am I going to wear, Can I make it through the day on my diet?"
11. Feel confident that I will make it to goal because I know Jenny Craig works!

1. Walk all the way around Walmart.
2. Toenails
3. Get on the floor and get back up without help.
4. Tie my own shoes.
5. Play my guitar again. For a long time, there wasn't room on my lap.
6. Bend over in the shower and scrub my lower legs and feet.
7. Wear pants without elastic in the waist.
8. Wear smaller t-shirts than my chubby husband.
9. There is more, but I can't think of them now.

Just so happy to be getting back to normal size and feeling so much better. Thanks for this thread Sandy. It's nice to count our blessings.

73 lbs lighter -- I can do so much more now. Hubby actually kidded me about getting dressed up and wearing make-up!
I can portion control when eating!
Not "have to finish" the bag of snacks when I start having one
Not worry about someone seeing me that hasn't seen me in awhile.
Hide snacks under the couch pillow when someone walks into the room!
And many that have have already been posted.
Gave me quite a chuckle to read!!! Thanks.

Sonya, thanks for the sweet compliment. I was dressed up in a wig for a Halloween party in the picture, but now I'm considering going red. Posted Image

Sandy, you should definitely go red. It looks beautiful on you!

I haven't lost much yet but am looking forward to doing the things you ladies listed, like crossing my legs easily! Thanks for the inspiration. :)

I love these topics! And love you gals with all your awesome answers!

Sheila, love your number 5, and am right there with you on that one! :) I didnt know how much I was missing out on! :P

Here are a couple from me:

1. I can cross my legs (comfortably!)
2. I can shop in person, instead of online!
3. I can fit into an airplane seat
4. I can stand in front of a mirror and not look away in shame. (this is by far my favorite)
5. To to with #4 - I feel like a woman. And I get looked at like a woman (Danny doesnt really appreciate this one as much as I do! :P)

Same here Sandy. I'm still bigger than most people's "before weight" and I can do a lot of them too. However, I think my body was so accustomed to being SO much more overweight that it's allowing me to do those things. But I also have a higher "goal weight" because my bone structure and height is bigger too. I'm sure that makes a big difference. My "goal weight" is between 190 and 200 lbs. At 5'10 with wide shoulders and matching wide set hips, 140 is going to make me look anorexic.

I can fit into the airplane seat without a seat belt extender!

I can walk over 2 miles without having major pains. I used to only make it a few blocks before my back went numb and throbbed.

I can stand for quite some time before any pain hits. Again, before I could only do maybe 5 minutes.

Getting off the couch takes no effort.

I can pull my foot up onto the bathroom vanity to paint my toes.

I was able to move my seat closer to the steering wheel. I can't go much further forward though because of the length of my legs. But it's no longer because of my stomach.

I can finally shop at Macy's. I'm still in the plus size section and do still have to go to Plus size stores, but at least I'm into the mid 20's in my sizing now.

I don't hide myself by just draping clothing over me. I am picking some more fitted tops. I still have one roll on my back that just is being persistent about hanging around, but it's slowly and surely going away.

2. Fasten my seat belt without loosening it
3. Paint my toes ;)
4. Talk without taking deep breathes

Just when I think there can't possibly be any more people can add to the list, you all surprise me.

, too, love that I can go shopping or just plain stand for around 2-3 hours before my back starts hurting. At my heaviest, I could not stand for more than 20-30 minutes before my back started to kill me. I'm hoping that when I lose the rest of this weight and by working my back more with exercise that I'll be able to stand 5 or more hours without back pain.

Love all of these NSVs we are all having! :)

This is a GREAT topic. Thanks for starting it Sandy. I haven't lost too much yet... only about 20 pounds and have a long way to go, so i hope to add more things I can do as I lose more!

The one thing I've noticed that I can do now is keep up with my husbands walking speed. He used to have to slow down for me and he's saying now that he doesn't :)

I have been aspiring to many of the things you all mentioned such as fitting into seats better whether it be theater or airplane or anyplace else! I will search this post and look for it as I can do new things that I can add to my list!
