I can't be the only one... I'm at week 2 and it's non- stop. I'm taking gas x to help but I don't like taking a any medication.
I get it's more fiber but this is crazy! If you respond that it takes time for your body to adjust to the diet then how long are we talking?
I'm not sure that a duet that gives you awful, constant gas is ok.
Thanks for any advice in advance:)

Well if you have excessive gas...that is lasting a long time, I'd think you'd wanna tell your doctor about it. Not likely JC's food is making it this bad. If it is then you are truly a rare case.
Would also run this by the JCC too!

I also experience this. I think its a combo of high fiber, extra veggies and anytime bars. I know you said you don't want to take anything, but gas-x helps. It never went away for me, sorry to say.

Yes, I do too, especially with the anytime bar and when I eat a lot of raw veggies. I usually eat the anytime bars when I know I'll be staying home!

I still have gas but less than at first. I'm sure it is because before JC I hardly ate any fiber or green veggies and now I do almost every day. When it didn't go away after a few weeks, I kind of went into competition with my DH and now it is sort of a hobby. Sorry if that's a little gross, but between me, DH and my Boston Terrier, we could be on the olympic farting team. You have to laugh at it. Its our body's sense of humor.

try limiting your vegetables .only include a few at a time so you can zero in on which ones are troubling you.fruits high in sugar tend to cause more gas so opt for low sugar like: aplles, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupes, kiwis, peaches, pears, strawberries.
low carb vegetables such as: carrots, celery, eggplant, green beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, pumpkin are also less likely to cause gas.also cooking raw vegetables seems to help ,sauteeing ,baking them .unfortunetely the huuman body wasnt built in a way that can digest some raw veggies.

Mine went away after about 2-3 weeks and I still ate the anytime bars. But, I don't like many veggies and stuck to a lot of green beans, some broccoli and then turnips and rutabaga.

Ugh. I am having the same problem. It wasn't so bad the first two weeks, but now it is horrible. I don't eat the anytime bars, I just don't like them. Sometimes it is so bad that I don't leave the house. It gets progressively worse throughout the day. I have even had the skip the gym in the evening because of it. I am going to try the gas X and maybe even get some beano. If those don't work I don't know what I am going to do. I know I don't want to live this forever.

I'm starting week five and it's getting better. Get the beano, ease up on veggies like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower in favor of green beans, salads and carrots.

I found that dairy was causing me gas issues so I've cut the dairy servings and I'm not having those issues anymore. But talk to your JCC about substitutions if you suspect it may be causing it.

I just started this program 1.5 weeks ago (have lost about 5 lbs) and I joined this site for the purpose of finding out about the gas. It's awful! My job is such that i cannot leave to relieve myself (I teach) so I have to keep it in and the pain is amazing. It's saturday and I am home now becase i can't go out in public because the gas is so offensive. I have a healthy digestive system but now I feel uncomforatble about being in public. I am not relieved to hear others have this problem with JC foods. I had hoped it wasn't as common as it seems to be based on this forum.

Noslob... It DOES get better after a few weeks, but it sounds like your issue is pretty serious and making you a home body. You may need to take a gas preventative medication like gasx or beano for a while so that you can still function. If your body was not used to the fiber, then it's just a matter of time for it to adjust.

I had incredible stomach pain for about 12 hours yesterday after eating zesty tortellini. I think it partially just caught my stomach at a weird time and has strong flavors, but I am happy to have that through my system.

I'm about to start week four and I've noticed the same thing.  I will say that it has gotten better, more toward the end of  day, and less offensive.  I think my system is adjusting now.  Funny though I did JC a few years ago and do not recall this at all!?!?!?
