I wasn't sure where to post this on this forum. Is there a daily/weekly weigh-in thread?

So, I'm now down a total of 24 pounds in 11 weeks on Jenny and a total of 49 pounds down from my highest weight ever. Yay! I'm doing the happy dance over here. I'm feeling lighter and happier with each passing day.

Thanks girls! Down another 0.6 this morning, and I'm going on a hike with my daughter right now.

Jessica, I did find one yesterday and joined up. Thank you. How's your first trimester going so far? I hope you don't get morning sickness.

I'm doing pretty good... definitely worried about my weight. I'm pretty hungry so I'm trying to eat every 2-3 hours where at this point on Jenny I was eating every 4-5. I bumped myself to 1500 calories (sometimes up to 1700) with the help of my nurse practitioner. Luckily no morning sickness, definitely nauseous at times though. My first ultrasound is next Friday!

That's a good calorie range. Good to hear that there is no morning sickness at this point. With my first daughter, I only had it mildly for like a week. We my second daughter I had it pretty bad for the whole first trimester. So don't bother listening to those who say if you get morning sickness during the first trimester it'll be a boy and vice versa. That was no true for me. :P

And I know that fear of putting the weight on after doing so well getting it off. I don't remember if you mentioned this was your first pregnancy or not. Most women, myself included, tend to gain more with the first pregancy, thinking that they have to "eat for two". I put on 48 pounds with my first pregnancy thinking like that. And my doctor had told me when she saw me putting weight on too quickly, "Remember, the first 25 pounds are you and the baby and you can generally lose any excess pretty quickly after you give birth. Anything else you put on above that is going to be a job to get rid of." I should have listened to her. :( With my second pregnancy I did much better, only putting on 28 pounds, but I was really being mindful of everything that went into my mouth, just like you are. So I have every confidence that your weight gain will be within the limits of a normal 25- to 30-pound weight gain for pregnancies as long as you keep accountable to what you eat and check in here for motivation. Keep up the great work, Jessie!
