Donna you may want to post that question separately as this question to the forum has been up a while and people that can really provide you with some insight may not see your question buried in here.

Thanks Marsha I had figure out how to use the body media. I was just wondering if you could tell me where to go to place the question? I would love to chat with others that use the body media or the body bug.

I love my body media it tells me if I had slept enough or not. It also tells me if I had done enough exercises or steps for the day. I know I need more sleep here but it is hard for me to get to bed any earlier then I do. I do find myself walking the dog longer.

Donna I would start a separate topic in this forum (metabolic max fans) and title it something like "Calling all body media users...let's chat" something like that to start a thread where everyone that uses one can share tips and tricks. I know many people use the devices but may use different ones.

I still have the bodymedia metabolic max program band that I purchased a few years ago. I use the band to figure out my activity while I am working or NOT. Not sure what the program is right now for JC or Bodymedia but I am paying the 6.95+tax monthly fee from Bodymedia right now. I was on the Rewards program and the Bodymedia Max program. I have been on a self imposed maintenance program for a few months. LOL. I have been definitely maintaining in my new job. Good thing, I guess. Still have to update my stats!!

Margaret's 6 Magic Ingredients

1. I can do it.
2. This is how I want to eat now.
3. Move it - 10-20 minutes 3-times a day is easy!
4. Your support group cares how you feel - food doesn't.
5. Live, love, laugh in the moment.
6. Small changes lead to big results.

So I finally decided and bought the FitBit Flex. I have a pretty good nickel allergy and after the news on the FitBit Force decided not to take a chance on the Body Media armband. When I called them they could not sure me there was not tany nickel in it. I love the FitBit Flex and so far have spent a week monitoring my sleep, steps and water. This week I will add the food.

I had the fitbit ultra and lost it 2 weeks ago. :( It really upset me.
I've been doing some research trying to decide which one I want. I do like the fitbit a lot.....I'm going to go look at the flex again! thanks ladies

Just a word of warning on the fitbit flex...mine syncs all day with my iPhone. Because of this the battery in the fitbit needs to be charged every three days not every 5 like the instructions say. You can turn off the auto sync and sync it when you want but I like being able to just look at my phone and see where I am.

If you turn your bluetooth off during the day, it will keep your battery from draining. Anytime I want to sync my fitbit, I turn the bluetooth on then right back off once it's finished. I've had my fitbit flex since Tuesday and have only charged it once since the initial charge.

There is also a cost to consider. If you go for Fitbit or Jawbone (any kind) then all you pay is the price of the device. With Bodymedia Armband you have to pay monthly fee of $6.95 to have access to your data. I used BM but recently switched to Fitbit Flex and I absolutely love it. Got Aria scale to go with it and now all my activity and weight syncs up to one dashboard.
