First 5 days - scale hasn't budged, what gives?!

I am in the middle of day 5 and feeling really good. I've been 100% on plan, minus one lunch out (salad with chicken and one cocktail) but pretty good for a baseball game! I am a tad frustrated because I am getting on the scale and noticing that I am not losing. In fact, I've gained .6 lbs in the past few days. I am also exercising daily - nothing ridiculous to gain muscle mass. I would think my first week would be much more successful.... :( Any ideas folks?

Hi, congrats on joining JC and starting the program. A couple things, - first , alcohol and weight loss dont go together. Pick one or the other, but not both. Second, its gonna take more than 5 days to lose weight. Weight loss is a long term project, settle in with the program, relax and give your body a chance.
there are a whole bunch of reasons why you would show a .6 gain , none of which has anything to do with "fat loss" so dont worry, quit the cocktails, stick to the JC program 100 % and you'll do fine :)

My dr told me that each drink, even the most low calorie such as red wine, is like eating a big piece of chocolate cake. Your metabolism will process it the same way.

I would suggest weighing in only once a week. Seeing the daily fluctuations would depress me and drive me crazy! In the past when I was on Weight Watchers I would weigh myself often between weighing at the center each week and I made the decision I would not do it on Jenny Craig.....it has helped my frame of mind so much! Now my daily success is based on good eating choices, staying active, keeping the cravings and binges away, etc. I am so much happier doing it this way!

6/06/14. 148.1
6/13/14. 147.9
6/20/14. 146.5
6/27/14. 146.2. (6 weeks to goal!)
7/11/14. 145.2. (4 weeks to goal!)
7/25/14. 144.2 (2 weeks to goal!)
8/08/14. 143.6. GOAL!

8/29/14. 139.7 Maintaining between 138.7-140.4 for the last couple of weeks..gonna try and maintain@ 139-140 lbs.
9/24/14 141.4. Lately maintaining between 140.0-142.0... Aiming for 139-140...still experimenting with the right balance of calories to stay at the lower numbers.
10/24/14. 145.5. Snacking too much lately! Darn those nighttime cravings! Back on track and aim to lose these extra
