I went in on Friday to rejoin and was told at some point my platinum program that I paid a small fortune for has been changed to something else and now I have to pay to rejoin. After some coaxing I got them to pull out my paper file and all my paperwork was there. Even when I log in here it says platinum under my program type. Has this happened to anyone who went in to rejoin?

I'm sorry I don't have much experience with that but I know my mom has stopped and started a few times and has to pay $49 each time she starts back up. Is that similar to what happened to you?

I am a "lifetime" platinum member and called the Jennycare number to ask, they said my program will remain as it is. I asked for specifics and she said "that there have been no changes made to the lifetime or platinum members. The changes effect new members and those that have renewals each year".

I have stopped and started a few times since 1999, my most recent rejoin was 5 weeks ago and I had no problems! I would call JC headquarters and get that corrected.

I have been a lifetime platinum member since 1997 and when I went to my local center today to rejoin I didn't have to pay anything extra. My counselor called Corp HQ and they found me in the system so it was all set when I arrived for my appointment.

I was a premium plan. I have to pay a yearly fee of 49 to keep membership. Maybe they had it confused. Hopefully you were able to get them to fix this for you.

I started about 3 years ago and each time I "rejoined" I had to pay 49 dollars! I had purchased the Premium Plan when I first joined. I think that covers you for lifetime with just rejoin fees each year of 49 dollars.....At least this has been my experience!

My program that I bought back in the 90's lets me stop and restart anytime I want. I've never paid a program free since. Not sure what it's called, it's either Lifetime, or Platinum or some such. They even managed to find it from the old paperwork before they were computerized - now that it's in the system my JCC says it will never expire. Now that's not to say you don't have a different "lifetime" with a yearly fee.

I bought a lifetime membership in 2006 but then later added the rewards program to get the food discounts. Over the last 3 years I had 2 kids, so I hadn't gone for awhile. I just decided to go back and they aren't showing my lifetime membership anywhere. I had to call corporate, but they told me if I didn't have my paperwork from over 7 years ago that there wasn't anything they could do. The center today was able to get me 30 days free while they try to sort it out, but I'm not going to be a happy camper if it doesn't get figured out. I paid like $399 for the membership

Why am I getting a green bar above this post stating "this post will need approval from moderator before this post is shown?" I have never seen that before.

Hi!

I'm glad you guys bring this up. There is a difference between Platinum and Premium

Platinum is lifetime:

This program was offered in the 90's and early 2000. There is no renewal fee because you are lifetime. If you believe you are a lifetime member of platinum and have paid a renewal fee, it's very important that you call in to customer service because the systems have all changed and some information has not transfered over to the new systems.

Premium is a yearly renewal:

This program is one you have to renewal every year for $49. It is technically a "lifetime" membership as long as you continue to renewal, unlike the platinum program, which even if you go years without being on Jenny Craig, you never have to "renewal" nor will there be a renwal fee. With premium, there is a yearly renewal fee and if you go past the expiration date by +30 days, then you will have to be transfered to a current program.

I hope this clears some of the confusion up?

I originally joined in 1994 as a lifetime member. I have "rejoined" twice (including this time). Last time they gave me trouble with it, but this time I walked in and they said welcome back! Haven't ever had to pay another fee.

I just rejoined. I was told that my platinum lifetime account expires in 2015 but it would renew then they cannot change a program that we all paid into and I don't think they will. it would cause a riot :) I am so glad it worked out

I asked about the new program and was told that it doesn't apply to us who came back - we just pay the $49 per year forever, I guess, since we paid JC beaucoup bucks when we joined.
