Fresh coconut water or young coconut water?

Besides being considered a limited free serving or two can I consider a cup of it as 2 fruit servings on some days? I read in the book that a 1/2 cup of juice can be substituted for a serving of fruit and sometimes my appetite isn't there so drinking calories can be best for me instead of eating them.

Is coconut water fine and young coconut water fine to drink?

When I add it in to my nutrition log I notice though I hit a bit under 1200 though.

1 cup of coconut water is about 70 calories. The nutrients and calories differ depending on the brand. 1 cup of coconut water can count as 1 fruit serving.

It is best to choose a variety of foods and beverages from your menu to vary your calorie and nutrient intake. There is no fiber in coconut water. You typically can get about 5 grams of fiber (depending on your choices) per 1 fruit serving.

Avoid the coconut water that has added juice or sugars.
