I weighed in at 190 lbs after having my daughter, and lost a lot of weight and am down to 153. Everyone tell's me I look fine, and to stop dieting, but I know how good I looked and FELT at 130, and that's my goal. But this is the time where I always find it hard, I get stuck at this weight, and then all the outside comments get me discouraged, and I tend to just give up! Feeling a little down, which resulted in me pigging out on cupcakes last night, veggies and dip, and full butter popcorn! :((  I started Jenny 2 weeks ago to help get me through the last 23 lbs(was 158, so lost 5 lbs on Jenny so far), but now I'm starting to fall off already. I need some Jenny buddies who understand where I'm coming from! :(

Oh my gosh, exactly!   That is one of the hardest I think, when people start saying how great you look, "why would you want to lost more weight?", etc.   That is what got me in the yo-yo circuit soooooo many times in the past.
I think we need to remember the goal as the "eye on the prize", as I remember someone saying on here so many times.

So, you ate the cupcakes, full butter popcorn, it's over.   I know those "moments" are hard to get by, they happen.
But, maybe, just maybe trying the new snacks that are out there and plan them in-the red velvet cupcake, the kettle corn, they are very good.
I HAVE to fill up on TONS of veggies everyday when I get home from work.  I am not as close to goal yet, but I think I know that feeling, like I said of the compliments start, and oh boy, it makes it so much harder, it's like "well, okay, I'm allright"
But, is it what you want???  You started JC to get this off, and you can do it.   I have baked carrots, cabbage steaks,
brussel sprouts made up all the time to just eat as much as I want when I want.
Don't let yourself get hungry.  I know it's not always about being hungry when those moments happen, but the veggies help I think. Good luck and you can do this!!!!

Hi there, I felt I had to reply to your post because I have been where you are for the last 3 weeks. I usually just come on the boards to read the posts for encouragement but rarely reply. I was 135lbs about 12 years ago when I married my husband. We decided after we got married we would both quit smoking. After smoking for 17 years, it was the best thing I could have ever done, except since then I have put on about 25 pounds. I have struggled for the last 5 years to try and get it off, and like you I get to that 150 mark and seem to slack off because of all the comments of how good I look and don't need to lose anymore, but know also how I felt when I was 135. I started Jenny on March 3. I was really in the mind set to get to my goal this time. I started at 162 and now weigh 147. I had a mental lapse one day last week and had a binge that took me all week to forgive myself for since it was the first time that happened since I started Jenny. With lots of exercise every single day and getting back on the program 100% I have gotten back in the mind set. I was still somehow able to lose .4 last weigh in.  The slips happen but you just have to forgive yourself and jump back on. I tell myself every day that this is about how I feel not how everyone else thinks I should feel. Its all about mindset in  y opinion, and a quote I always refer back to is if you want something bad enough it can happen. I really wanted to quit smoking and that's why it was easy for me. Weight loss is hard especially when you are emotionally attached but it is possible. I wish you lots of luck, I know you can do it, and when you need encouragement this is the place to be. I have been here reading everyday for the last 3 months and it does help.:)

Melly
You have to do what is right for you.  Not what other people think is right for you.  Like Sandy said if you want it bad enough you'll do it.  It has to come from you.  We're here for you all the way!

I agree... push towards your goal and then if you reach a point where you feel comfortable and enough is enough, then you will know it. For me, setting a goal weight was really hard because I haven't weighed under 190 in YEARS, since I was a teenager so I don't even remember what I really looked like at a certain weight. I always avoided the scale. So sometimes my numbers feel arbitrary.

The good news is that even though you slipped off the wagon, you can climb right back on again--you'll just need to tie yourself on to the wagon more tightly. Imagine that you're running a marathon--ignore everyone else & focus on your own heart & mind.  It's so worth the hard work to achieve your goal!

Whenever I had urges to go off plan early on, I found it helpful to remind myself of why I joined JC in the first place (I looked back at the physical list of my various ailments, complaints & goals that we write upon joining JC) & that I was paying (a lot) of money to do the program.  This approach usually helped me to refocus my efforts.  If you're a data-driven/instant gratification person, using the combination of My Fitness Pal & a BodyFitMedia armband to track your daily calorie deficits might help as well.
