I joined Jenny about six weeks ago. I am super excited because I have lost 11 pounds, but now I have reached a plateau. I work out 4-5 times a week and I am a teacher, so I am on my feet all day. I noticed I get super hungry at night. I have been trying to snack on veggies and a small portion of protien on the days I work out. Any words of wisdom to boost my spirits? Maybe someone has a suggestion for a kick start. I am getting a little bored with the food.

Please help! =0)

At 11 pounds over 6 weeks, you're still right in the target range for weight loss. How long would you consider yourself to have been on a plateau?

You are so busy during the day working, that at night is when you say you are super hungry. That is probably because you aren't as busy and your mind isn't on other things. Try to save maybe your milk (I usually have a yogurt cause it's more filling) from breakfast and your JC snack and eat it at night. That way you'll have some food left and you won't be tempted to eat other things. Try to drink alot too and keep busy with a book or whatever you like to do in your down time. Also come to these forums cause it really helps to read about other people going through exactly what you are. Eleven pounds is GREAT! Congrats on that! Keep up the good work!

You may want to talk to your consultant about increasing your calories. I was stuck and with activity I have to eat 1,500 calories and without activity I have to eat 1,200 calories. Once my calories were increased and I stay with my activity, I began losing weight again and getting through the plateau I was on.

Anything worth wanting is worth going after. Striving for the new me has made me
realize that I am much stronger than I ever gave myself credit for.

I'm also in a slump at the moment. I joined at the end of Nov and I'm down 10.3lbs. Not that great. I fell off track around the holidays and now its so hard to get back. I've been trying to get motivated to work out again but I just feel like i'm stuck...needs words of encouragement!

You can do this! There will always be reasons to go off plan... believe me... everyone and their mother seemed to want to go out to eat this weekend. I went with them and tried to make the best choices, drink all my water plus and exercise a little more. You have to tell yourself what you want to achieve your goal and just stick with it.

vudu101, I hear you it is very tough to get in the right attitude. I'm trying though.
