I don't love the shelf stable food, but so far, it was all edible. The beef and mashed potatoes -NOT.  I was so grossed out. It smelled awful, the potatoes were a dry sandy mess. Down the disposal it went. I used a dinner intended for later this week. Too bad i can't get a refund :)
At least it was the only meal so far that I was disappointed in.

I din't care for that one either. The only shelf stable meals I use is chicken salad kit. I take it out of the can and add lots of celery.  Other than that one I go frozen all the way.

I have never tried, nor care to try, the beef and mashed potatoes! It was out of stock when I Started Jenny and I never got around to it. Sounds like the southwestern style chicken to me! I dont think there is a recipe to spiff the beef up though :( Sorry!
