I saw commercials about $1 per pound and I was wondering if that was actually true. I've tried Adkins and it worked for about a week and I gave up because it was just too expensive but I need to loose about 25 pounds and I'm wondering what the catch is to the $1 per pound thing.

You pay a dollar per pound plus the cost of food.  So, you would be paying $25 then your food which can run up to $145.  It's a 12 week program I believe.

My consultant told me I was at the max weight (50 pounds to lose) for that program and she suggested the maintenance program which is a year long and $550 later....I wonder if I made the right choice.  Ofcourse the $550 includes the first week's food...which cost $145.
