I might need to quit Jenny. I have gotten really sick of the food and it is way too expensive. My mom was paying for my Jenny meals because I can't afford it, but she doesn't want to pay for it because I haven't been losing weight. I think I could take the lessons I have learned from Jenny and make my own wise food choices. I just feel like I am wasting time and money, and I do not like my consultant. I am just fed up with this program and want out!!

Whoa! What's going on?

I'm not sure when you started the program but you have lost almost 10 lbs. so far.

Why aren't you losing? Are you not following the program? Are you having certain issues with food (and we can help you with that)? Are you exercising? Drinking your water?

If you can tell us what's SPECIFICALLY is happening, then maybe we can help out. (We can probably even help out with some ideas of how to stay on the plan and sub out some food for less expensive food.)

As far as your JCC, talk to your Center's manager and ask for a new one. (People switch JCCs all the time until they find one that they click with.)

I just don't want you to quit and think you can do this totally on your own because while I understand you saying it's expensive, it seems as if you are having other problems that probably outweigh the expense.

We all want you to succeed and I'm sure your mom wants you to succeed so let us help. Just tell us what you need. :)

I think everyone needs to make the call on whether or not they can afford the program.  Yes it is expensive  - one of the reasons I am so determined to make this work is because of the cost!   I don't want to spend all this money just to be back where i was - I really can't afford to do this a second time!

You said your mom does not want to pay because you are not losing weight, but your ticker says you have lost 14 pounds - so in what time frame did you lose this?  Average losses are 1 - 2 pounds per week.  You need to be realistic in the losses- this is not the Biggest Loser!!

You also state that you can take the lessons learned from JC and make your own wise choices.   So - I don't understand - if you are learning the right choices you should have been losing, which means the program is working.   If it is not working then what did you learn?

I think we can be of more help to you if you can provide some more info - how long you've been on the program, if you are following it to a T, are you working out, etc.

Yes, please provide us some information and we can help.  If you can't afford JC (and your mom cannot either), OK, you can lose weight without the food and without a JCC --- but, there seems to be many issues going on --- it IS possible that you are not losing and following the program 100% --- it does happen.  But, if you haven't been following it the way you should (for whatever reason -- tired of food, don't like JCC, too much social life with food and drink involved, feeling stressed and overwhelmed)....you need to take a minute to remind yourself why you want to lose weight and get healthy (which can be with JC or not), but until you decide you are ready to commit to something (JC or otherwise), it will be hard to lose weight.

Everyone slips and doesn't loose for a week or two or "falls off the wagon" --- you can get back up if you want --- if you WANT to stay on JC talk to your Mom about it, show her you are willing and able to commit --- show her how you are changing your habits to be healthy, even if the scale moves slowly (or you just lose inches and not pounds) --- she needs to hear from you that you are committed to it and will give it your best.  That doesn't mean the occassional slip, but you need the support (emotional and lifestyle) of your family too so make sure you mention that as well....And, if you want to stay on JC -- get a new consultant.  You can.

Finally, there are other programs that don't have premade foods that are less $ if you want support --- from online ones that are free, to online ones with a fee, to programs like WW that might fit your lifestyle better.

I like to use the jenny recipes to do meal on my my own. The muffins are the mainstay of my breakfast at least three times a week. I have right now in my freezer, the brownies, white cake, Tuscan soup, spinach chicken noodle soup, chicken marinara , chicken teryaki and bbq pulled pork. This really cuts down on the cost of the meals.

Do you want to quit because:

a) "have gotten really sick of the food and it is way too expensive"

B) "haven't been losing weight"

c) "wasting time and money/I do not like my consultant/just fed up with this program and want out"

Those are all very different reasons. There isn't really a contract with Jenny that you must keep buying the food, etc. so if you're that unhappy, you're free to not continue it. If you aren't losing weight now, what have you learned that will help you lose it when you're on your own?
