After looking at the research on nutrition as well as the innumerable abuses on factory farms, I have decided to go vegan. Does anybody know which foods are vegan or does Jenny have any? I can't find any info on the website. Also, what MOMO do you like that is vegan? Any help would be appreciated!

You could no way do vegan on JC. Vegan would mean nothing from an animal -- from eggs, to cheese, to milk...and, no fish either (not alot of that on JC). I can't think of one JC meal (except maybe the cereals) that would be vegan, but then you'd have to find a non-dairy milk or yogurt (that is doable).

Any of the products with bread will have either milk or eggs. There are very few vegetarian choices, but to add vegan to that would be, I think, nearly impossible.

Jessi, Jen is absolutely spot on. Your profile says Newbie - have you actually joined? Or are you just considering and new to the forums? If you joined and are committed to going vegan, I hope you can get a refund. There are lots of places to get info on vegan options these days and I wish you every success! PS: It's hard enough to do JC when you just don't eat red meat or poultry (these are most of the options with a few lacto-ovo and one to two fish) - vegan would be impossible.

I'm not vegan but I am vegetarian and as such I had to suppliment JC with other brands of frozen package foods like WW and LC because there are only 1-2 meatless main course meals here that are eatable. JC specifically indicates they are not a vegetarian diet plan.

I have to agree with the posters above.
I can't think of any JC food item that would be considered vegan. A vegetarian chili would be nice (with plenty of protein provided by beans) but JC adds either turkey or beef to its two chili choices. The lentil meal has beef added.
Many JC meals have cheese added so they're out too.
Years ago, I believe, JC offered specific vegetarian selections (I remember that they used to note vegetarian items on their "Food" page where all JC foods are listed) but I can't remember seeing vegan choices.
JC might consider developing some nice vegetarian dishes. Many people these days are looking to cut down on their animal product consumption. I've gotten into trying to cut down on that too, and have started using beans and tofu for the protein in some of my meals.
Still love my cheese, though...that would be tough to give up! I could probably do a decent job of sticking to a vegetarian diet but vegan would be way too difficult for me!

I looked on the JC "Meatless" list of foods and, as I noted, except for a few cereals, none would be vegan --- certainly no entrees. All the meatless entrees have either cheese, or if you look to a bkfast --- like the pancakes, well, those have eggs.

http://www.gobblegre...products_id=332

Its super expensive to do at home vegan diet meal delivery, but if you have the money, see above link. Actually, at $700 per 28 days, it includes bkfast, lunch, dinner and dessert for each day, it about 100-150 more than JC per month, BUT there is no sign up fee that I see and, well, you work directly with a nutritionist who will design you meals and they will all be vegan and healthy.

I feel the same way you do regarding meat consumption. I was a vegetarian before I joined jenny. Due to the lack of variety in the vegetarian plan, I decided to broaden my diet to chicken and fish. I plan on returning to vegetarian status after jenny. The decision I made was based on my own health. I knew jenny was the only thing that works for me diet wise and it's more important for my health to lose weight (and eat chicken and fish for that time) than to keep my vegetarian status.
