I just read a recipe post about adding a meat serving to the Mac and Cheese entree; can you comment on how much to add? Additionally, are there other JC items that need adding to? I do a completely personalized menu so anything that might be written on the Planned menu is not on mine. For example, I have a nagging thought that perhaps I should be adding something when I choose one of the packaged cereals as my Breakfast?

As always, thanks so much!

Thank you for your post,

Please ask your consultant for the "Personalized Menu Planner", which gives descriptions of all
our foods as well as any needed additions. For the Macaroni & Cheese, you should be adding 1/2 meat serving (1/2 ounce of meat) if using the personalized menu only. See your grocery list for examples of meat and serving sizes. Many of our foods have been re-formulated so that they no longer need additions. The following foods still require additions when following a personalized menu:

Broccoli & Cheese Potato- 1 meat serving
Chicken Fettuccine- 1 vegetable serving
Chicken Pasta Parmesan- 1 vegetable and 1 fat
Fish & Chips- 1 vegetable
Lentils with Beef- 1 vegetable
Macaroni & Cheese- 1/2 meat
Mashed Potatoes & Beef- 1 vegetable and 1 meat
Salisbury Steak- 1 vegetable
Sweet & Sour Chicken- 1 vegetable and 1 meat
Traditional Lasagna- 1 vegetable

Best Wishes,
