However, you just need to get a little more creative. You can "cook" your "own" meals but you need to use the JC meals as a basis (rather than going back to your potentially high fat/high carb meals you used to cook).
Here are two links to recipes created by two of our very successful JCers. The food is great and it will definitely help with the "boredom" factor.
The main thing to remember is that you can change things up A LOT by simply adding veggies, herbs, and/or spices. And it's fun to experiment.
I know when the boredom set in with me, when I thought about it, I realized that there are probably only 20-30 meals that I made and there was probably only 10-12 that I did with any regularity so the fact that I was getting "bored" with JC was more psychological than "factual" because when I was doing all the cooking, I wasn't making THAT many different meals and boredom didn't become a factor too often...at least that's the way it was with me. So really think about it and don't use "boredom" as an excuse. Just get creative!
Anyway, here's the two links to check out:

I'm on week 5 and I just have those days where I want to physically get my hands dirty and COOK but I know that I'm not in the right mindset yet and that's why I've resisted. I need to be in a mindset where I will plan the meal, count the calories and see how to make it healthier. Keep resisting and follow the program! The other day I made a vegetable soup that I can have at any time.......this really helped me! Good luck!

Today I tried making a stuffed pepper for the first time using the "Southwestern Chicken w/ Rice" (which I previously never ate). It was great! One of my favorite recipes is also turning the Jenny Fajitas into yummy Quesadillas. Some dishes are also great "blank canvases," like the Jenny fettuccine.
Start your own test kitchen! I bet you could start whipping up interesting things in no time!
