Can someone clear this up for me? I'm 5'6", weight is 244.6. When I got started last night, at first the counselor said, "Okay, you'll be on 1500 calories per day." Then she pulled out the 1200 calorie weekly menu plan. So I asked her, "Wait, am I doing 1200 calories per day?" and she said yes. But I distinctly remember last time I was on Jenny (and weighed 223 pounds), I was doing 1500. Did it change? Or did the woman get it wrong? Help!

You should be on 1500... My first weigh in was last week, and I was 204 and I'm on 1500. She said once I get down to 191 I believe, then I go on 1200... There was probably some miscommunication...or a brain fart on her part!

Be careful. I started out at 264 and have been on 1200 the whole time. I think it depends on your age, activity level as well as your current weight.

1500 sounds right, but when I was on 1500, my JCC used the 1200 calorie menu and just told me to add an extra snack into my day to add the extra 300 calories. Talk to your JCC, or call JennyCare, I'm sure they can straighten it out for you.

I started at 215 and have been on the 1200 cal since day one. That being said - with the extra veggies and limited free foods I generally hit 1300 each day,and occasionally 1400.
