I've noted a whole bunch of us can't eat those Anytime Bars. And I've also seen that not everyone want to replace it with another milk/yogurt/lean meat; I mean, after all, the bars are an almost "treat-like" treat. A bunch of people suggested Pria bars instead, so, I headed out today to pick a few up. I'm pretty sure I've seen them before but couldn't find today and didn't want to wait and buy online. So, here's why I'm posting: I found a bar called "100 CALORIE" Protein Bar by Biochem. It has almost identical nutrition info - 100 calories, Total Fat 3 grams with 2 from saturated, 55mg sodium, Total Carb 13 grams with 1 Fiber and 7 Sugar, and 6 grams of Protein. And the Chocolate Truffle flavor I tried actually tasted pretty good - way better than the chocolate peanut butter AT bar (less synthetic tasting). Figured I'd let you all know and enjoy :) PS: They're a little pricey at $1.49 each but so are those AT bars!

Sounds interesting - thanks for sharing, jennybeth! Where did you find them? I've been thinking about switching out the anytime bars for the cost savings. I bought an economy pack of Pria bars off of Amazon and loved them, but don't know if I want to do that all the time, I'd rather find something I can buy at a local store if it's possible.

In my area, I can buy Pria bars at the health food stores. They're actually pricier than ordering them online but at least I can usually find a health food store fairly easily.

But thanks for the tip, Jen. If I come across them, I'll check them out. :)

Just curious: Do you know the percentage of vitamins in these bars? I know that's a big thing with AT and Pria Bars - the amount of vitamins and nutrients they provide. Thanks for the info I will also look into them. =)

I also discovered a site called allstarhealth.com where they have these in 24-packs for $22.99 - don't know what they charge for shipping but that might be worth a look!

I found them in a branch of my local health food store called Mrs. Green's (I live in NY) but can't say how common they are. Today, I saw Pria bars in my local Pharmacy. I think it's enjoyable to change things up too - variety is the spice of life, right :)?
