I am doing the at home program since I live in Wyoming and am nowhere near a centre, but I am so excited! I love reading the success stories, and hoppe to be regular on the boards here! My name is Hannah, by the way, and I am 23, married with no children. As I said I live in Wyoming, and my goal weight *holds breath* is to lose 190lbs and get down to 200lbs! I've never been thin, and in a year am taking a trip to New Orleans and want to be down even 75lbs by then! :)

Hannah, welcome to Jenny. I wish you the best on your weight-loss journey. We're all here to help you with it so please come to the forums when you can and ask for help when you need it. I also an at-home client and received great support from my JCC even though we didn't get to meet face to face every week. I also doing the Metabolix Max program and love using the armband to see how I'm doing during the day by tracking my food and exercise.

Good luck

Welcome Hannah, I'm 24 with no kids. I have to lose 70lbs so don't fret the number. The ladies on here gave me good advice. Focus on 10 pound increments. This way that big number won't seem so overwhelming.if you follow the program you will lose weight! Good luck to you !
God bless,
Kayla

Welcome Hannah!!! These ladies are sk right. Focus on small increments and not the big number. I started with 114 pounds to lose and i have whittled it right down!! One pound at a time! Just follow the program. Don't try to."fix" it in some way. This program works as outlined! Drink your water and start moving. I started by just walking around the building at lunch. Start small and work up slowly. Just move and it will come off. Promise!!

Thanks for all the welcomes! As a couple of you said, I am focused on a few pounds at a time.:) I am definately looking forward to talking with my consultant and getting the extra encouragements from her:)!

ocmimi - I thought of doing the armband, but for a little less I needed to save a bite more this month just cause I'm going blonde on Wednesday (previous plans before I decided to get onto Jenny) and I also am having a tooth pulled next Thursday without any insurance. Either way, the armband does seem like an amazing idea, but I am also very excited about the program I am on:) The option right below that:)

Totally understand not just for financial reasons but there is so much to learn about categorizing foods, staying within calorie levels and starting to exercise. Once you get used to being on the program, a free option is My Fitness @ myfitnesspal.com It works like the armband giving you the ability to track your calories in/out and how much you exercise.

Sorry about your tooth. I also don't have dental insurance so I know how expensive it is to have dental work.

ocmimi - Well, Im wondering if you could upgrade your membership later on if I wanted, just pay the extra cost. Not having dental insurance does really stink, and it is actually a root canal they wanted me to do at around $2100. Instead, its going to cost around $250 to pull it out. Super nervous cause I hate the dentist..but super excited about having my hair done and starting on Jenny!:)

Sure, you can upgrade when you want. Your JCC will be in the best position to tell you if they are currently running any special discounts on the armband and how much is the additional plan fee, and the fee for the armband. I believe it still comes with a six month free access to the Activity Manager on the Bodymedia site.

Welcome Molly and Hannah (we have another Hannah on the boards that you're going to love). :)

Glad you're both here and hope you come to the boards often. We'll cheer you on, give you a place to vent, ask questions, and just meet some great folks. :)

Visit often!!!

P.S. Hannah sorry about the tooth. I also had to have one pulled because the root canal was too expensive. But you'll feel better when it's out. :)

Hey Hannah, welcome! You're going to be so happy with the results you see. A trip to New Orleans sounds like a lot of fun, and I'm sure when that rolls around you'll be just amazed by your own progress.

Best of luck! :)

Hi Hannah! Hannah here as well! :D Welcome to the Jenny boards, this is a GREAT place to find motivation and encouragement, & tips and tricks for staying on track! You can definitely do this. Setting mini-goals for yourself along the way is a great idea, and I believe 75lbs by next year is very doable. This program is wonderful, and it WORKS--if you work it! I LOVE what Jenny has done for me, it's fair to say it's already changed my life!

PS) I also had a tooth problem last year with no dental insurance, so I feel ya there! I got quoted for a root canal/crown at something crazy like almost $4,000! I said, "No THanks!" and was luckily able to find a community health center that performed the root canal at a major discount based on my income. (It ended up being like $400 instead, but I'm also single and wasn't making much $$ at the time.) Don't know if you could find a similar health center, but I thought it was a good deal!

Oh my gosh! Thanks for all the welcomes from everyone, once more! Victoria, Melissa, Phyllis, Mimi, Molly, Kayla, Debbie, And of course, HANNAH!: You all make me feel so loved, and even more supported! I am happy that I can also say that tomorrow I will do my "official wiegh in" here at home. But, even on my period, with a pulled tooth, I am two pounds as of tonight (at my heaviest point, after dinner)! I am so so so happy to meet everyone and love JENNY!
