Dear JC Dietitian - I often like to eat my entree item protein on top of a big salad and skip the accompanying "side carb". Specifically, the turkey burger without the bun and the Fish 'n Chips without the fries. Can you tell me how many calories are in these side items so that I can replace them with something else? Thanks! I also do not use salad dressing, syrups or the enclosed sauces (like with the turkey burger or the fish) so are there replacement calories or fats I can plan on for those? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Thank you for your post,

Turkey Burger bun= 136 cals
Fish 'n Chips fries= aproximately 140 calories.

The turkey burger and fish sauce packets are so minimal, it is not necessary to replace these. The syrup counts as a limited free item, so it is not necessary to replace it. The salad dressing counts as a fat serving and you should make sure to replace this. Try to include a healthy fat (see your grocery list) that is 45-50 calories and contains 5 grams fat.

Best Wishes,
Nutrition
