So, I am on Day 3 and the past 2 days I did not eat an anytime bar...I did the multivitamin and a yogurt. Well, today I ate an anytime bar instead of the vit and yog and OMG! I have some gut rot. My tummy hasn't hurt this bad since my laxative days lol. Is there something in the anytime bar that causes this horrible pain and bloating?

On another note I heard a lot of you mention the pria bar as comparable to the AB. Does this cause the same problem?does it have all the vitamins and nutritional bennies as the AB? Thx so much for your help and I'm sorry if this post is TMI!

I did not have problems that many had with the anytime bars - just a bit of gas.

But I did switch to Pria bars - primarily for the cost. My "gas" issue seems to have been reduced since I switched.

I get my Pria bars at Amazon. If you sign up for their "subscribe and save" program where you get an automatic delivery (you can cancel at any time) then a pack of 30 bars ends up being about $.78 per bar and free shipping. Much less expensive than the JC bars.

I am just starting myself and this is day 1 for me but I think if you are experiencing stomach pains, bloating, and gas than it may be because the bars are loaded with vitamins and if your not use to taking them it can cause that. Also it may be some left over food in your stomach that needs to come out and it may just be working it's way down your digestive system. But you may can try drinking more water and that should help with all of your symptoms and if it don't work for try something different because the any time bars may not be for you.

Hi Meg, you are correct.....there is an ingredient in the Anytime Bars and many of jc meals called "inulin".......it is a type of fiber added to foods to help you feel fuller and jc adds it to many of their foods. It can wreck havoc on the ole tum tum. Some ppl arent sensitive to the inulin while others, like myself, cant handle it.

The Pria Bars are wonderful. I cant express how much better they are than the AT Bars....no gas, no vitamin taste, and they taste like a cookie! They are nutritionally comparable almost to the "T".....except Prias dont have inulin in them.

Like Nancy said, you can order them online from Amazon or Drugstore.com......also Whole Foods and most health food stores carry them. I can supply you with the nut. facts of each if you would like.....just let me know.

These are a list of jc foods that also contain inulin for future reference:

Apple Cinn. Waffles
Banana Nut Mini Loaf
Beef & Cheese Slider
Blueberry Mini Loaf
Chicken Florentine Lasagna
Chocolate Cakes
Clam Chowder
Lemon Cakes

Mixed Berry Bar
Oatmeal Raisin Anytime Bar
Orange Chicken
Peanut Butter Chocolate Anytime Bar
Philly Cheese Steak Panini
Three Cheese Ziti Marinara
Vanilla Chocolate Crisp Anytime Bar
Yogurt Dream Bar

Wow....i've been doing JC for the past month and have lost 11.6 lbs but the bubbles are frankly out of control. I mean every day like clock work. It is good to know the ingredient that has caused this "situation" and I will try to avoid these food choices. Thanks.

Just finished week one and just complained of the same exact thing in my first meeting. Horrible gas pains, ridiculous acid reflux and I am already on Nexium and have been for years. I was told to stop the Anytime bars and have a dairy in place of it so I am going to try having yogurt instead and see how I feel. So glad I read this as I felt it was just an issue I was having yet now I see it is a common problem. Perhaps I'll look into the Pria bars too! Thanks all!

These posts have been so helpful! Been on Jenny for 3 weeks and shortly after the first week, I had the same stomach troubles as you all described here. Many thanks for the list of the foods to avoid. So glad I can continue on the diet and just avoid certain foods. Thanks to everyone being so candid....
