I have my first appt with JC tomorrow. I am a previous client, but it has been 2 years. I weigh more than I ever have in my life, and I am scared to death to see the scale. I have stayed away from scales since I knew I was gaining weight... denial, I suppose. I just know I am going to see a number that will immediately make me cry. I am getting married in Mexico the end of May, and really need to feel better about myself and fit into my dress.

Just wanted to vent.

Thanks for 'listening',
Gretchen in Houston

Take a deep breath, stay calm, follow the plan and you will rock it! Sounds a little like your worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet. (the weigh in) As women, we do tend to do that. When you WI just remember that ANY loss is awesome. This isn't a "rush it" plan. It's about learning better eating habits and losing along the way. Let us know how you do and we wil all be here to support you!! Congrats in advance.

Gretchen, welcome to Jenny. Don't be nervous. Regardless of what your starting weight is, as you know from being a previous Jenny cusstomer, the plan is great and the support you will receive on these forums is awesome. Post often and let us know how you are doing or if you have any questions. Also, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

Gretchen, just remember.... whatever the scale says.... that can be the LAST time you ever see those numbers on the scale. Keep up your chin and KNOW you can do this!!!

Welcome! Try and not to fret about the scale. I know easier said then done, but look at it as a new adventure, a new life. And as was mentioned already, that can be the last time you will ever see those numbers! :D You will do awesome!!

Gretchen, welcome back! There's LOTS of us who have had to return and we all survived. ;)

As everyone has said, you'll do fine. You already know the plan works and that's a major help.

As Debbie pointed out, remember that's the LAST time you will EVER have to see that number again. It's all downhill from now on.

You're already GORGEOUS so you'll make a STUNNING and SKINNIER bride by May. You can and you WILL do this!

We're all here to help. :)

No matter what the scale said when I started I decided that it could have been worse! Now, don't get me wrong it was bad but I could have waited another week or another month or another year. I didn't and for that I was glad! Get ready to rock it = ]

Hi Gretchen! Really try not to sweat this....like everyone said, that number you will see your first day is only temporary....you might as well forget it, b/c you will NEVER have to deal with it again IF you follow the plan.

So turn that frown unside down and smile hun....you are becoming a NEW and HEALTHY you, what a celebration huh?!

Congrats on your upcoming nupitals....I am sure you will be a beautiful bride!

Hi Gretchen - welcome back! And I agree with everyone else - it's just a number which will be gone in a week!!

With a wedding to plan you have so much going on in your life - and JC will make it easy for you to eat healthy.

Let us know how it went!
Nancy

Hi Everyone, thank you so much for the wonderful support. I am going to go to the gym in a bit and do some cardio to get in the right mindset. I will be going to my Jenny appt this afternoon. I think I am going to do the metabolic program.. I used the bodybugg while doing JC last time, and it was quite helpful. Having these forums is really going to help.. so many great people who understand the journey. I just turned 40.. and really want to be 40, fit and fabulous.. not 40 and fat. Here I go!!! Thanks again. I will be on these boards regularly.
