Hi, All-

My name is Lisa, I'm 25 from NY and I can't believe I just saw this forum! I'm glad there are lots of other 20-somethings on the same journey:-) I've been on JC for about 4 weeks now, but the first 2 weeks were definitely difficult! I ate a lot off the plan and I gained a few pounds, so now I am back and recommitted to the program. Last week, for what I am counting as my first official weigh in, I lost 2.4 pounds. My next weigh in is this afternoon- I hope it goes well!

Anyway- I just wanted to introduce myself to the group :-)

Hi Lisa! Welcome to the forums!!!! :)

I'm not in my 20s - well not by several decades LOL - but we're all here at all ages to help support you and give you tips from some of us "old-timers." ;)

You'll find a bunch of support here from folks of all ages and experience on the plan.

Congrats on your recent loss! You can see when you do stick to the plan it DOES work and that is a lesson I wish I had learned at your age. :)

Hi Lisa and welcome! I'm another 20-something here, so I am with ya girlfriend!

As you've already learned, cheating and eating off track will definitely hamper your weight-loss. The important thing is being honest with yourself (why did you eat off plan?), rediscovering your motivation (why do you want to lose the weight?), and encouraging yourself to get back up on that horse! As long as you stay on track and follow your menu you WILL lose the weight! We have an advantage being younger in that our bodies naturally bounce back and can lose the weight faster (unfair to our "more experienced" friends, I know! ).

Glad to see you are recommitted and already getting big numbers at your weigh-ins. Hope the next one is fantastic for you! Keep us posted! :)
