I was on JC a couple of years ago with good success and want to re-join. I see there is a new program called metabolic max. Can someone give me a quick rundown of what the plan includes? Also, what is the approximate cost for the plan (outside of the food prices)?

Thanks!
G

The plan includes an electronic device you wear on an armband which tracks your daily calories burned, steps taken, physical activity, and hours spent asleep. You pay about $100 more for it than the general Jenny program, and it includes 6 months FREE subscription to the accompanying website www.bodymedia.com (this is where all the logged data gets uploaded). After your free 6 months online, you pay about $6-8 a month to continue using the website.

I love my armband! Once I felt comfortable wearing, I hardly even notice it is there and I only take it off when I'm showering. The website is pretty easy to use and is full of amazing graphs of the data it collects so you can see EXACTLY how many calories you are burning, etc. That way you know whether you are truly reaching your activity goals, and where you need to improve.

The best part about it, in my opinion, is the food logging feature. I keep track of everything I eat using this website using a comprehensive database. All the Jenny food is already saved, all you have to do is search for the item, click on it, and it tallies up ALL your calories so you can keep yourself from going over. It kept me super focused and on track, I think it was one of the biggest reasons I felt motivated week to week to do so well.

Thank you so much for the information and advice. I will definitely be doing the metabolic max program. I did use a bodybugg when it first came out, and it definitely did help to keep me on track. I would find myself doing punches and kicks in the kitchen while making dinner to burn extra cals..!!! I hope this band is less bulky than the old bodybugg. THANKS also for the screenshot in the other section.

Gretchen, I too find myself doing little things to burn the extra calories! I live on the third floor of my building, I will take the stairs down, and am working my way to taking them up too. In the meantime, when I ride the elevator up I do squats or leg lifts during the ride (if I am the only one in the elevator LOL) to try to make up for the fact that I am not walking up the stairs. I will also get up from time to time and walk in place while I am watching TV

mojoamy, I just started wearing it yesterday, and have already stood in front of the tv doing squats and mindlessly lifting light weights.. I did this over almost a 30 min period (not really trying to acheive anything) and burned over 200 cals during that time. Awesome...!
