I eould love to have a buddy or group of online buddies in Indy. Maybe we could share local resources or even meet up some time. Open to all sorts of support and cheering each other on.

info: I am mid 50s. Wife, mother, work part-time. I like to walk, read, garden, and be with friends, and family. I also creative photography and drawing.

I am slowly starting a " new" phase in life after caring for a seriously ill relative for years (recently deceased). While caring for my beloved - and deeply missed- relative I had put my life on hold, did not have time to exercise, and was comfort eating...big time. I have 50 pounds to lose to be in the "normal" weight range according to the info here (the online calculator).

I also got out of the swing of things socially because care taking and being with my husband and teenagers ate up all my time. Now I have "me" time again and...crazy as it might sound...I miss the "job" I had, taking care of my relative, someone who loved me deeply and was a mentor.

But I have managed to stick to the Jenny Craig program for the first week and it wasn't as hard as I thought. I am determined to make changes even though I feel like I am just regaining my footing.

Anyone want to help each other with tips and just cheer each other on?

Hi! I live in Fishers. My husband and I have been on Jenny since May of last year. We both managed to lose about 23 pounds by August and were feeling good. However, he started traveling with his job more, and we both became unmotivated. We gained back around around 12 pounds each. Since January 1st, we are both trying to get back to Jenny. We both have around 40-45 to lose still.

I like to walk, but find it hard to do in the cold. Thinking about starting at LA Fitness for some additional exercise, but would like a buddy when my husband can't go.

Your post inspired me to reply because I too am in my 50's (about to turn 51), am a graphic designer who works at home (want to start drawing and painting again sometime), and have been disconnected with people since I work at home.

Please let me know if you are interested in a local buddy. I go to the Castleton Jenny Craig office.

Hope to hear from you.

Hi- hope you see this. So far, still losing but feeling SO self-conscioueps about joining an exercise class. May try tapes, DVDs home first. If I lost 23 pounds or even 12 pounds, I would be so happy! Would still have a ways to go but it would be a boost. Congrats on your weight loss so far. I just started but lost 4 pounds in the first week. I know most of that is water weight in the first week but it sure helps to see the scale with lower figures!

Oops, sorry for that....meant self-conscious, not whatever word came out in the previous post. Need to check spelling before hitting "post"

Sorry it took me so long to get back here. I wasn't able to start back to Jenny until today. But, now I'm ready to go the distance. Please let me know how you are doing.
