Started running in Nov.. Noticed the last several times I ran that my bra is chaffing underneath. What should I do to prevent this? Is the bra too big? Wrong style?

Most likely your bra is too large. You need to get measured so you get the correct size.

I know I really need to get new bras - since losing weight they are not providing any support at all.
Any type of running or joggging is always a challenge - a good sports bra is probably a necessity at this point.

When I tried to graduate from walking to running, I also had a bra problem. (I'm also a little top heavy). Two of the JCC's at my center recommended wearing my tightest fitting bra with a sports bra over it. Sounded nuts, but it worked. Holding those babies down makes a world of difference in the running.

You could also try BodyGlide or something similar (runners lubricant).

First try a better fitting bra, then try the bodyglide if that doesn't help.

Sometimes it actually has nothing to do with the bra not being the right fit. Sometimes, it's actually moisture related skin irritation secondary to sweating. I know, something we don't want to hear, lol, but I have the same problem. If you try a better fitting bra and still have the problem, try putting a little bit of zinc oxide cream, such as Desitin under your breasts for moisture protection. It works great for me! :D

...or baby powder w/corn starch. Thats what I used to put between my thighs when I first started jc and I started walking it would cause a rash and baby powder helped....I know TMI. hehe

I'm with you dijarm, A male friend(?) actually told me, you still have it, but its not awesome like before. He sounded so serious, I had to laugh, then remind him he could be fired for that comment.

Bought a new, tighter bra and seems to be working. Spent a lot of money on it, but figured I better go with the quality. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm doing my first 5K on the 25th. Wish me luck!!

Yep, you know you're losing weight when your underwear gets too big and needs to be replaced! I'm also a top-heavy girl, so on work-out days I wear 2 bras AND some kind of tight-fitting camisole/yoga-top. Gotta keep that jiggle to a minimum! :P

Trust us Missy.... you have the better end of the deal. Do you know how much a GOOD bra in bigger sizes costs??? Or how many you have to buy in order to find THE ONE???? Trust me.....
