I just started Jenny Craig yesterday and would love to do this with someone else, other than my husband and children who can offer their own support. Even if its an email a day to each other offering a much needed inspiration. The last time I dieted, I failed. Why? Because I was alone...while I am sure I CAN do it alone, Id rather have the support of others in the same situation. Feel free to say hi...and to offer up any advise, etc. Thanks!

Hey, Elaine! Welcome to JC and the boards!

If you don't mind the fact that someone isn't your "neighbor," you'll find DOZENS of us who are there to help support you, answer questions and cheer you on. We've had a large number of "newbies" who started in January so I'm sure you'll have people who will be with you every step of the way.

And you'll also have others who are further up the road and some of us who are on maintenance who can tell you about any pitfalls to avoid or give suggestions of things that worked for us when you stumble.

We're here for you and we're glad you're here too! :)

Congratulations on your first week Cami. It would be fun to have someone close by (sorta) to cheer and to be cheered by. Today was the end of my first week and I am down 5 lbs. I know its not typical, so I am not expecting that each week, but I am proud of myself regardless. I am so stoked because I had bought a pair of jeans at Torrid that were too small and I was going to return them. Two days ago, I decided to try them on just ONE more time..and ZIIIIIPPPP! they fit!! So no returning them now!

Feel free to contact me privately or here if you would like a motivated partner on this journey!

Hey Ladies,

I'm not a super close neighbor but I am in Glen Ellyn so kind of close, I'm always at the mall in Bolingbrook! And Oak Brook, and Lombard...ok I shop too much! Let me know if it's ok to e-mail and I'll send ya one!

Hi all. I'm in Melrose Park & am in the middle of my 4th week with Jenny. I could use an atta girl every now & then too. As of last week I was down 17lbs. Funny thing is I'm not feeling all warm and fuzzy inside about it & I don't know why.

Any one else been in this position?

Congratulations. Those are outstanding results and you should be so proud of yourself. Keep on plan and post your achievements each week. You will get the atta boys you need right here and should be getting them from your JCC. Also why not add a ticker to your signature so you and the rest of us can see the progress you are making each week? It certainly helps me even when I have to post a gain. I don't like those weeks but it certainly motivates me to do even better the following week.

I'm from Ohio.

I really need help and could use an occassional "great job". I started in December 2011. It is going ok, but i think I should be losing more than I am. My lowest weight loss for one week was .8, my highest, and I don't count the first week, was 4 lbs. I tend to go up and down, but I have never gained, which is great for this time of year.

I struggle on the weekends more, especially in the winter.

Cami

I have family in Tinley Park, IL.. is that close to Oak Park? I could use a partner as well. I'm in Ohio.

Are you having trouble sticking to the meal plan?
