So, tomorrow is my first time weighing in since I started. Does anyone know if it is better to weigh yourself (in the morning, of course) before or after excersise?

:) Hi Mainegirl,

I consider my truest weight is when I first get up in the morning before I eat, drink or exercise. So when I am serious about tracking my weight I get on the scale with no clothes first thing the morning then take my shower. My weekly weigh ins are done at the JC center so I know my weight will be higher but that does not bother me.

Good luck with tomorrow's weigh in. :D

I always had the 9am, Wed morning appt, and never ate or drank anything before I went in. Sometimes in the afternoons, I can weight 2 or 3 lbs more than I weighted that morning. That being said, if you always weigh in at the same time in the afternoons, it should still be consistant. When I was weighing in the afternoons, after work, around 4 pm, I found that I was starving myself all day, so I would weigh less. Which is stupid, this is supposed to be about health. I guess we all have our hang-ups.

I always weigh in in the morning after exercise when I'm a little dehydrated, the scale is generally similar to when i first get up in the morning.
