Hey, my name's Gail, 32 from the Sacramento area. Started the process today to lose 70 lbs. Met with my consultant yesterday, set a meal plan for the week, stayed very strict today. But I am having an extremely tough day today. Although I joined Jenny back in the summer of 2010 and lost 36 lbs in 3 months time, I quit and gained it back, plus more, and now I'm starting over to do it again. But this time around I'm having a very difficult time adjusting. I am in misery tonight, hungry, missing going out to the restaurants where the know me and my usual orders, I miss the enjoyment and atmosphere of going out to eat, and it's only day 1! It felt like I was eating next to nothing today. I keep looking at my eating journal, showing I stayed to my menu, which makes me proud, but I'm still in MISERY. Seriously. I broke down and cried over dinner because I honestly didn't want to eat it. I wanted to go out so bad. I need that extra push both in person and online to get me to stay on track and knowing I'm doing the right thing, and helping me through the stomach growlings. I am hoping joining the Jenny forums this will help me.

Awww </3
But you survived. And every day it will get easier. Perhaps you can add some extra veggies so you can feel more full until your stomach shrinks a bit. Just remember you are doing this for you and that should be enough motivation to set you on the right path again. Best of luck :)

I just started my 5th week and it has been going good, down 10.8 I was so afraid starting before the holdidays, but so thankful that I did or I would probably have been up another 5 atleast. But yesterday for some reason was difficult, I was hungry and did use my freebies. I don't know if it was because Zumba started up again. Anyway, hang in there, it's worth it, I love the food and the program, I feel so much better. Have so much more energy. Is this why I am up at 3 in the morning. Have a better day today. We can do this, we are worth it !!!

Hi Gail,

You're right, it's a really hard transition. When I first started I had a lot of the same issues. I used to go out to lunch at work every single day. I was starving all the time for the first couple of weeks, but I decided that feeling good about myself forever was more important than feeling good for a few minutes because of the food I was eating. After those first couple of weeks, and after I started to see the results on the scale, the momentum just started kicking in and I worried less about what I was missing. Hang in there, girl - feeling healthy and good about yourself will only make those meals out at restaurants better once you have the tools you need to eat them the right way!
