Hi Everyone,

I hope this isn't too gross of a topic, but I was wondering if anyone else has had or been having issues with rumbling noises coming from their belly???

Its not hunger, but for some reason my tummy has been making loud rumbling noises and then on other occasions I have more gas than usual (sorry to be graphic). Has this happened to anyone else, has it gone away?? I attribute it to my stomach getting used to a healthier way of eating (I've never eaten so many fruits and veggies before in my life), but my stomach is sensitive to soy so I don't know if there is something in the meals that could be doing it.

Thanks and sorry to be gross!

Kat

This is pretty commonly experienced by nearly everyone when they first start Jenny! It may be partly due to the increase in fruits and veggies. More than likely the gas and grumblies are a result of the Anytime bars! Lots of us notice it, but it appears to decrease over time as your body gets used to it. Some people substitute the bars for this reason, although I continue to eat them every day (no more grumbles, but still a little gassier than I'd like). I make the effort to drink a glass of water with my anytime bar, it seems to help!

Yup, been there, done that and it still occasionally happens.

As for the gas, it's likely the Anytime bars. They wreck havoc on lots of folks. Let us know if you need a substitute for that.

I like having a bar and get too much tummy pain from the anytime bars. May i substitute a chocolate mint balance bar? If not what BAR can I substitute? I prefer a bar not yogurt or milk or fruit. Oh and can I eat apples for my unlimited fruit?

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen, I am not familar with the Balance bars nutrients but I do know the Pria Bars are a good and equal sub for the Anytime Bars. Just google both and see which one is closer in nutrients.

Thank you so much Jen!

Apples can be one of your fruits of the day...you are allowed 2 if you are on the 1200 calorie plan.

I went ahead and took the liberty to look up the nut. facts on the Balance Bar, Anytime Bars and Pria bars...I was curious. lol. These are the findings.

me too, i forgot that the anytime bars do this to me too. Also increased fiber in food is not easy to do in a fast pace.
Blueberry muffin loaf, has 8 grams of fiber, plus anytime bar 4 grams, alot in two meals.

I had to have gas x extra strength and rolaids on hand to calm the turbulence.

Nope, not just you....in fact alot of us here have gas issues when we eat the Anytime Bars and some of the meals.....due to the fact JC adds inulin, a type of fiber, to many of their foods.

I eat Pria Bars instead of the Anytime bars....no gas, less expensive, and oh so yummy :P

I don't eat the Anytime Bars and I still have issues with bloating and gas. I contribute it to the high amounts of veggies and fruits. It's getting better, but some days can still be pretty bad, lol! I think my family would agree, lol!

Your gas is most likely the inulin added in jc foods. Its a type of fiber to make you feel fuller, but causes horrible gas for some ppl.
