Today I would start my fifth week and I purchased metabolic max, And I am yet to use the armband. first I am a man if men go to jenny it is because we are over weight that armband will not fit any man the way it comes out of the package. I have been waiting on the center to get me an armband of course I am yet to receive it, and I'm on my 5th week. my monthly cost of food is average 600+$$$... really?!? I will be demanding my money back for the armband and if I don't get it I will be contacting corporate and doing an all out campaign on the Internet(youtube and review sites) to make people aware. I have lost weight, but it has been very frustrating to pay for something and that it cannot be used.

I can certainly understand your frustration. And, yes, the guys don't chat on the boards as much as the women.

As for the armband (they didn't have those when I did the plan), have you called the 1-800 Jenny Support line or are you dealing strictly with your Center. If you haven't talked to corporate you should DEFINITELY do that. They need to make your Center respond or take care of it one way or another.

Glad you're losing weight and hope you'll come to the boards more often. We need some testosterone in here. :)

Hey! Sorry about your frustrations! I work at Jenny and the armband comes to jenny with the standard medium sized armband. Some centres carry the large sized armband and if not, you can order the large or extra large armband through bodymedia.com. The great thing is that as you keep losing weight, you'll eventually get to wear the medium armband too. So make sure you save it!! Hope this helps! :)

Yes, but does that mean he has to PAY FOR TWO armbands? That doesn't seem fair just because a center might not stock his size. They should have directed him to bodymedia.com or made sure they got one in stock before selling him that one...IMHO.

Everyone comes in different shapes and sizes...it would be hard to know what side to send. I ordered extra armbands, the velcro wears and you need more anyways...

I hope you get this worked out becuase my hubby loves the armband. Our center had the large size in stock so he started using it from day one. SO maybe the problem in just with that center. Do you have another center close enough to you? We changed centers at one point because we wanted a Sunday appt. Maybe a center with more organization and supplies would help.

What does the band actually do? I just joined for one month to try the program. Is this something I should do? Help, please.

It is a band you wear on your arm. It tracks your steps. You go to a website and put in your food intake for the day. The armband calculates how many calories you burned for the day between the food intake and exercise. It is a really handy thing to have while on a weigh loss plan. You just don't realize how little exercise you get until you put on that armband.

I dont think its something that anyone would "need" to do but I researched it and found it to be a really valuable weight loss tool. In my case, I dont work outside the home so its difficult for me to know how much exercise I'm getting and really easy to think I"m getting more then I am. My husband gets a ton of exercise as a mail carrier but can eat as much as a pro football team in one sitting. This allows him to see that he didnt burn enough calories in the day for the food he logged. The armband counts your steps but its not just a pedometer. It then converts the steps and whatever exercise you log into calories burned. From that weight loss because as simple as math (haha- had to laugh at that) you make sure that your calories you log into the food diary are lower then the calories the armband converts from your steps. Atleast thats the way I understand it. I've only used it for a week but we love it.
