I have been on Jenny for 6 days and I already had a setback. I went to a friend's xmas party, and I ate my Jenny food before going so that I would be full and not want anything and I ended up eating some of the party food anyway. I wasn't hungry, it just looked and smelled so delicious. I didn't eat nearly as much as I normally would because every time I ate something I felt guilt and knew I shouldn't be eating it.

But not it makes me worry that if within a week I already am so weak-willed how am I going to get through enough time to lose 40lbs to get to my goal? I'm feeling a bit defeated right now. :(

It's not horrible to cheat a little, as long as you dont do it all the time. Let yourself have a bit of a taste and drink a lot of water. For instance, a few days after I started JC my family had ordered thai food. I let myself have a little bit then ate veggies. If you are going to cheat, cheat wisely - have only a tiny bit and fill up on free foods. The first week is the hardest, dont be afraid to talk to your JC buddy. You can do it, hang in there!

Don't put yourself down too much! Take the positive from experience (you didn't eat as much as you would have otherwise) and take heart in that :) That feeling of being down remember it but don't dwell on it, next time you are tempted to cheat remember how it made you feel and use that to strengthen your resolve not to do it again. My work throws a lot of parties at the end of the day so I always draw a heart on my hand or "remember!" to help me, a visible reminder to myself when I reach for those chips that I have a goal to reach, or I try to stay out of the room that has the food in it. It's not much but it helps.
It may seem like just one small step at a time... but when you look back you can see just how far you've come!
