Hi. I am 3 weeks in to JC and have lost 7lbs to date. But I had my first slip up! I know these days are bound to come but I was not prepared for the emotions that go along with it. We had a death in our family (an elderly member, not tragic but sad in the same) anyways, we were out to lunch and do to the busy day I didn't have the oppurtunity to eat my Jenny food. I tried my best to make good choices but I feel defeated! I know one day won't ruin anything but sometimes I just need reassurance. :-(

Welcome to the boards, Nicole. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Congrats on the 7 lbs. lost so far. Good for you! :)

As for today, cut yourself some slack. Sometimes you can only do your best and in situations like this, it's totally understandable.

The thing to remember is when you slip, start over at the next meal or snack. Don't wait until the next day or say, "Oh, this week is shot. I'll start over on Monday." So forget about what happened at lunch and I'm assuming you did okay with dinner. If not, start strong tomorrow morning.

Your success or failure isn't going to depend on whether or not you slip, but what you do and how quickly you get up and start over whenever you stumble.

Please come to the boards often. We're all here to support one another, answer questions, cheer your successes and hold you hand when things go wrong. We'd love to have you as part of our "family." We're a sometimes motley crew, but we're a fun, loving and supportive bunch. :)

Hang in there. You'll be fine...I promise. :)

I also want to congratulate you on the 7 lb weight loss and my condolence on the loss of your loved one. Don't be so hard on your self, there will be many more bumps in the road. It is all in how you handle them. That is one of the things that I am learning. Life is stressful and full of various challenges. It is how we resond to those challenges that counts. You will grow and adapt as you continue in the program and learning how to deal with life's challenges is a part of the process. "I caled Jenny" gave great advice regarding not putting off getting back on track. Don't throw away the whole day or week. Get back on track as soon as you can or it will snowball on you (speaking from experience). The program works when you stick with it and make the lifestyle changes. Hang in there and keep up the great work!
