Does anyone have any recipes for some free food soups? I'm not much of a cook and I just started the program. I would love some soup recipes please! Thanks for the help!

I don't use a recipe. I throe in 1 carton of vegetable broth, 1 bottle of tomato juice (low sodium), lrg can of diced tomatoes, 1 pkg of lipton onion soup mix (low sodium) and a hand full of different frozen veggies. Carrots, beans, cauliflower, broccoli...whatever you like. Add some spices like basil, oregano, tyme a pinch of cayene pepper. (i loike hot) After it simmers an hour or hour and a half I spoon into a blender. Comes out like a thicker, tastier tomato soup. It makes a big pot that I eat all week. You kinda have to play by ear and tast as you go. I've been doing this for 8 months and not sick of it yet because it always tastes different!

I do the same "trick" with the blender with my soups too. It's a much more "decadent" feeling soup than just a broth.

I totally agree the blender makes a much more comforting soup than veggies in broth. :) Here's my go-to:

- cut 1 head of cauliflower into florets
- cut 1 small sweet onion into chunks
- line cookie sheet with foil, spritz with sm. amt. olive oil (I use a Misto)
- lay vegetables on foil and spritz with sm. amt. olive oil
- sprinkle curry over all and roast at 400* for 30 minutes
- simmer roasted veggies in 2-3C low-fat/low-sodium chicken broth with more curry
- blend til smooth (I use a stick blender)

YUM! I make this once a week.

on par with the recipe from dijarm - i make a soup with V8, onion soup mix and vegetables. it's so great (mom's recipe). it's very warm and filling on a cold day. all you have to do is get the onion soup mix, v8 and a bag of free frozen veggies. super easy!

I use the chicken bullion cubes, 3 w 3 cups of water, bring to a boil, add a bag of mixed frozen veggies (I like the ones w the lima beans) I add mushrooms and a couple stalks of sliced celery. Takes very little time to do. I make it thick so it's like veggies w a little liquid. I think it is all free food and it's great w a sandwich and the veggie chips.

Okay earlier today I was able to access the recipes from before and my favorite recipes were still there but now I cannot find it. Jenny Craig has spinach chicken noodle soup delicious and very filling, Tuscan soup very thick I actually use it to add to the Italian dishes (eggplant, peppers, tomatoes etc.) and Cuban black bean soup. I freeze them in individual servings.
