Hi Maureen! Welcome to the boards and congrats on doing so well so far!
I hope you'll come to the boards more often. You'll find lots of support here.
As for your plateau, yes, it's frustrating and also not unusual. Many of us have gone through this. What does your JCC suggest?
As for the bowel movements, yes, I have the same issue a lot of times. I don't do laxatives because they are too harsh but I do take stool softeners (2-3 a night and occasionally 4 when it's been more than a few days) and my doctor assured me that was fine and it does help in a day or two.
How did you do over Thanksgiving? Did you stick strictly to the Jenny plan or did you do a MOMO and possibly go over your allowable caloric intake?
How about water? Are you drinking a minimum of 64 oz. a day?
And since you're upping your exercise, it's also possible that you might need to change your calorie plan. Talk to your JCC about it.
It sometimes takes a little while to break a plateau and some people have even "juggled" their calories meaning that they take more in for a day or two and then less the next day or two - just so it balances out over the week and that often helps as well.
Hang in there. This too shall pass.

Hello! I'm new here, just looking around and saw your post. Could it be bloating from PMS possibly? Hope you lose those 3lbs! You can do it!

Great point SkineeMinnee.....and welcome aboard!
Maureen, phyllis gave you some great tips/advice. I just want to touch on what she said about calorie juggling.....or calorie cycling as we like to call it. Sometimes your body gets so use to the same ole same ole, and it just needs to be jump started again. Calorie Cycling will help you get your weight loss rev'd up again. This is a link to a website I like that will explain it in detail.
http://www.livestrong.com/article/129304-calorie-cycling-lose-weight/
You can also google "Calorie Cycling" and you find lots of info.
Most of all, hang in there and be patient.....you are doing so well, and you WILL make your goal with perseverance

Hi Ladies! Thank you very much for your suggestions and encouragement! I did speak to my JCC about it and she suggested I might want to try Metamucil and see if that helps. I've been taking it now since last Fri and it's helped minimally, but I'm still not at the regularity I was at before. I've actually gone down 1/2 a pound since my last weigh in last Fri, but given my history on JC (average of 3 lbs a week), it's been disappointing. I am drinking a lot of water (minimum 64 oz and usually even more than that!), and adding more activity to help jumpstart my metabolism--but nothing. It don't think it's PMS, since it hasn't affected me the last 2.5 months, but I guess maybe it is now?
I was actually very pleased with Thanksgiving. I didn't overdo it, and actually made good food and portion control choices. While I may have had a slightly higher caloric intake that day it wasn't by much (at most an add'l 400 calories), I did offset it by more activity, and I didn't gain any weight- which was a milestone in and of itself!
I am intrigued about the calorie cycling- never heard that before. Any suggestions as to how to best go about it? Do you add snacks, or just go off script for one of your meals?

Thank you so much! I'm so glad I have somewhere to go to talk about all this stuff. I thought I could do it on my own, but after 6 months of none of the baby weight coming off, I decided I needed some dang help! I feel like a prisoner in my body... it's definitely time to break out! lol
