Well, now I seem to be stuck at 184.5 when earlier in the week I was stuck at 185. This does not make me a happy camper. So I asked my husband for some tips to get 'girly ripped' while I'm losing. (Meaning I get the Miss Fitness physique without looking like a body builder).

He told me to work out with weights 3 times a week to start. And for the first few weeks to do the entire body with weights instead of just focusing on one muscle group. (I trust his opinion more than any other 'weight trainer' as he used to be a huge weight lifter himself in his younger days. I mean, he could leg press the entire stack without breaking a sweat and I saw the stretch marks on his thighs, plus he's still HUGE muscle wise).

Anyway, so I'm beginning to do some weight lifting and strengthing. I did the whole weight thing for my entire body yesterday plus cardio, so today is cardio only. I asked him and he's like 'you need to give your muscles a rest'. And believe me, I hurt. Funny thing is, my legs aren't sore at all, but my upper body feels like it's been through a meat grinder.

So, I see my JCC today and I'm going to tell her (cause my original JCC left and went back home *sigh*) and let her know this plateau WILL be beaten even if I have to find some weird way to beat it into submission.

I'm hoping the extra exercise will jump start my metabolism again to losing 1-2 lbs in the lower end and 2-3 in the upper end.

Wish me luck.

Good luck! I added exercise to get over my plateau too. I can't afford a gym membership and don't have the time to go anyway, so I do all my exercise with the Wii Fit, along with all the walking I do every day as part of my work/commute. It's definitely been helping (and I feel better too!), I really hope it does the same for you.

Sounds like a plan! Besides even if the weight doesn't come off immediately, soon you'll be inches smaller! Besides, no one asks you what the scale says, but I bet they'll start commenting on your more toned body! :D

Let us know how it goes at WI!
