I started WW March 2010 and by October 2010 I had lost 35 pounds. WW changed their program to Points Plus and I have lost nothing. I have gained back 19 pounds. I am tired of counting points, I have absolutely no support from family or friends. I spent alot of money on new clothes when I lost my weight and threw out the clothes that didn't fit, now I need bigger clothes. I am disappointed in myself and am trying to get motivated to lose this weight but I have no support system. Since I gained weight back WW makes me pay to stay a lifetime member. I have heard alot about Jenny and was wondering has anyone else been successful on Jenny after coming off of WW? I found that I am successful on pre-packaged food because I don't have to weigh or measure.

WW didnt work for me either. It is too unstructured. I love the convenience and structure of Jenny. Losing weight is hard enough as it is . Jenny takes the guesswork out of it and for me, it helps not to be enticed with "eat whatever you want as long as you stay with the Points."
I lost a very small amount of weight and kept gaining and losing it with WW. Also, I didnt find the weekly group meetings helpful. I like the one-on-one counselling. Once i switched to Jenny, the weight has come off consistently.

You mean if you wanted to go back to WW, you'd have to pay, right? I mean, I can't imagine them forcing you (or billing you) for a program you're not longer participating in, right?

And, yes, I'm also a WW drop out. I wasn't great at math in school. "Counting points" just made me batty.

I LOVE JENNY!! I almost don't have to think about it. It's so easy to follow and if I have a question or a problem, I don't have to go to a meeting. I just post it and my JC buddies will help me out. :)

I had been counting points for years and was always able to maintain until they changed it to points plus. I had such a great routine going with regular points, but then I lost it when all of my 1 point foods went to 3 points. I just couldn't handle that! I gained about 5 pounds, which was a lot for me, over the past year. I started jenny a month ago and love it. Most of the food is similar to what I have been eating for the last 10 years except it tastes so much better and I love that it's pre packaged. Whenever I would buy a box/bag of anything I would sit there with my scale and measure out the entire box as soon as I got home so having jenny already measured for me is so easy.

I'm sorry to hear you don't have a great support system, that is tough. I am lucky enough to have family, friends and a boyfriend who are very supportive, but I also have found a lot of support from my co-workers. When I started jenny, I made it pretty public because I know if I try to sneak the fact I'm on jenny, I'll go off plan, and a few of the girls I'm close with stop by my office everyday to see how it's going. Do you think you might be able to find support from someone outside of your immediate group of friends and family? These forums are also a great place for support whether you post or not. Just reading them has helped me a lot over the past month. It sounds like you are motivated and that is the best time to join. You can go in for a free consultation to see if it's something you're interested in. Let us know what you decide!

I did JC a few years ago and lost well - 32 lbs. I kinda fell off and then tried WW online on my own. I just couldn't make it work for me. I needed more accountability and the one on one (even over the phone) really seems to help me. I think starting out with a structure helps me a great deal. And...I think the food tastes good. It's a little high in sodium but "over the counter" frozen food is typically even higher. I gained back about 24 lbs so I have less to lose. Just started back myself.

We are here for you if others aren't.

I tried ww a year or so ago and all the time spent counting points just didn't work for me...especially when I work so much during the week. I also found I eat much better on JC in that I stick to the plan of eating a balanced diet...fruits, veggies, nonfat dairy, etc...on ww yes you can have anything but ultimately if I spend my points on carbs or whatever else that's not as healthy IMO.

I work with a lady who is doing ww and it has worked great for her. I think ultimately ww and JC are about the same amount of calories. So as in any diet if you consume less calories, exercise, and have either group or individual support you should lose weight.

I find JC to be absolutely the best choice for me. I don't have to think about what I eat as JC plans it out for me. I add fruit veggies and yogurt. I am exercising now. It's fabulous.

I am a few pounds from halfway and at that time will do weekends on my own. I started doing my own breakfasts and snacks after about 6 weeks when I had portion sizes etc down. A lot of people stay on JC food but I went into it with the intention of eventually moving off JC food.

Hubby rolled his eyes initially when I told him I was going to try JC....now he can't get over how hot I am. The boards are fabulous for support also.

I was on WW for 8 months before joining JC in May. I think I lost 8 pounds, then gained back 4 or 5. Anyway, the bottom line is it didn't work for me. I have lost 31 pounds in JC less than 6 months. The one on one helps me. I have 7 pounds to go. I am determined this time. At first I was hearing, "oh no, not another diet plan." In some ways that helped because I felt like mike back was against the wall. The support at home is mixed now.

WW worked great for me. I liked being able to point in a slice of pizza and I did like the group meetings. However, when I stopped going to the meetings, all the weight I lost (60 lbs. in 15 months ) came right back on in less time than it took to lose it.. I joined Jenny mid June and am down exactly 40 lbs today. So, I really like this program, only complaint is I wish they had more food choices. Since I am more than halfway, I do MOMO, but usually with another lean frozen meal..I have heard with the new points plus, that alot of people are gaining weight and quitting the program, so I think they should go back to the old system, why fix what's not broken?

I have done WW several times in the past and was usually sucessful, til I went off the program and gained it all back. What is different for me now, with Jenny, is that I went into it with a different mindset. I am determined to keep the weight off this time. Every diet plan works, if you work the plan. I have been on maintenance for nearly 2 yrs, and still eat sorta like the Jenny diet, but using my own food. I'm watching my portions, eating the fruit and vegs, drinking the water, and keeping my excesses to a minimum. Also my exercise plan is the same now as when I was doing the diet fulltime. I hope you get to a good place that you will be able to manage, and lose the weight for good.

I did WW and lost 10 lbs. I was starving the whole time. It was too much freedom for me and I abused it, so I ended up hungry because I splurged my weekly allowance at the beginning of the week. I think WW is a good program, but I think I need more accountability and the 1 on 1. I also like that with JC you can just pay to be lifetime and that is that. Throughout life, it makes sense that you'll have seasons of gaining and losing, so it's harsh to have your lifetime membership revoked. But each program makes their money different ways. JC is expensive and I don't like that, but for some people, particularly me, I may need that to push me. Also, a lot of my problem stems from me eating food around the office that is free, just because it is free. I think JC is helping teach better eating habits & that we work to feed ourselves and that our bodies deserve to be fed right.
Month 1 LOST 9.4 LBS!!
Month 2 LOST 4.4 LBS!!
Month 3 MAINTAINED

Im really excited now I did WW a long time ago and this time decided to do Jenny after going through a divorce and being single. I hate to cook for 1 person and find myself ordering delivery all the time. I just got my stuff today and put it all up and I can't wait to not have to cook or worry about whats for lunch, dinner etc. My biggest dilemma will be what fruit and veggies to add.
