Loosing my mind!!!!

Hello All,

After being on Jenny since Feb 2011, Ive reached that 33lbs mark count and STOPPED ! I gained back 5 to loose and gain the same 5lbs right back again. Im back on Jenny 100% for the past 3wks but Im having a hard time doing the same routine all over again.

I used to enjoy an apple with my breakfast and now I cant even bring a apple within 1ft of my mouth. I know I NEED that to help me continue to loose but im extremely FRUSTRATED and dont want to give up !!!

Just need some words of advice and also tips on what people have done at this hard HALF WAY POINT !!!

Please help :blink:

Why can't you bring an apple within 1 foot of your mouth????:huh: You need to eat 2 fruits a day! -Patty

There are lots of other fruits besides apples. Or try to make those apples into something you can eat! I've been making the apple recipe that uses the Cinnamon Sticks. Cook the apples in the microwave for about 3 - 4 minutes. I chop them into small bites and add cinnamon and Splenda before cooking them. Once done, I add to the top some crumbled up Cinnamon Sticks. Tastes really yummy!!

There's a wonderful recipe using apples in the Creative Recipes cookbook by Jenny Craig... It is called Caramel Apple Crumble!!!! Just make sure you don't overcook your apples and add 2 heaping spoonfuls of Splenda (or the 0 calorie sweetener of your choice). It uses 1 package of the Jenny Craig Toffee Cookies...

Here is the recipe:
Note: I "tweeked" it a bit.

CARAMEL APPLE CRUMBLE
1 small, granny smith apple, peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 cup apple juice, halved
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp Splenda, or so
1/4 tsp corn starch
2 tsp Smucker's sugar-free caramel syrup
1 pkg Jenny's Cuisine Toffee Cookies, crumbled (except for 1 for garnish)

*Mix apple slices, 1/8 cup apple juice, cinnamon and 1 tbsp of Splenda in saucepan.

*Mix remaining apple juice with corn starch and 1tbsp of Splenda (in a small bowl) until dissolved.

*Cook saucepan mixture over med-high heat, stirring constantly till apples are a bit softened.

*Add cornstarch mixture to the saucepan mixture and cook until thickened over med heat.

*Pour mixture into small serving dish and mix in the cookies, drizzle with the caramel, garnish with the 1 cookie.

EXCHANGES: 1 STARCH + 1 FAT (--THE SAME AS TOFFEE COOKIES) + 1 1/2 FRUIT SERVINGS + 1/2 LIMITED FREE + 2 FREE

Eat right away... So delicious!!!! YUM!!!!:)

OK, sometimes when you've hit a plateau like this or you've hit the wall and are up and down, you have to change things up.

Yes, I love the apple and cinnamon stick crumbles but how about a pear? Or grapefruit? Or a plum? Or a different type of apple (there are only a couple of hundred different varieties - LOL). Or, if you're REALLY having a problem, have some V-8 Fruit Fusion. Then you get a serving of veggies and fruit all in one glass! :)

Do you eat the same food over and over? Try switching that up. Try different dishes. Have lunch for dinner and dinner for lunch.

Heck when I hit a bump and I was really totally OVER the lunches, for a couple of weeks, with my JCCs approval, I had dinner for lunch and dinner!

I mean, you don't want to give up but if you don't change up SOMETHING you're going to talk yourself out of this plan and you've come sooooooo far!

Please, try something new. We're here for you! :)
