I'm Lebanese Armenian. We do not have JC centers here in the region. But I'm trying losing weight the JC way this time, cuz no other way worked so far. I really have issues with exercising. I believe I lack the motivation, and I would love anyone on the program to give me tips, because by far I'm relying on what I'm reading within the community posts.

You know, we ALL (well most of us) have issues with exercising. What I can tell you from my point of view is that you just have to DO IT....... JUST DO IT. You have never heard anyone be sorry they exercised..... SO DO IT. It is not easy and it doesn't come natural. Find a buddy that will push you to do it with them and will GUILT you big time if you won't. Then just make up your mind to JUST DO IT.

Welcome to the boards! Sorry you can't be on the official JC program but they are expanding and maybe one of these days they'll have a center either near you or you can order your food and have it shipped to you.

As far as exercise is concerned it's as simple as moving. That's it. It can just be walking. If someplace you want to go is just a couple of blocks away, don't drive - walk or take a bicycle.

Put on music and dance! As I recall in your culture, dancing is very popular - so dance! :)

If you're watching TV, walk in place. Or order a walking video. Leslie Sansone has a lot of them that you just need about five feet of space to walk in to get a good workout.

If you're visiting someone, park your car a couple of blocks away and walk. If you're shopping, don't park near the store, walk a few blocks.

Washing dishes? Move your feet back on forth while you're scrubbing away.

Drop a bunch of things on the floor and bend and stretch to pick them up.

It's really not complicated. You don't need a gym or special equipment. You just have to move. It's just that simple...and that difficult to get started. But remember what they say - bodies at rest, stay at rest - bodies in motion, stay in motion. So get moving! You can do it! :)

Thank u so much phyllis, your words are real encouraging. Well we do much dancing here, that's true, but as Lebanese we're huge fans of enjoying and partying, and along with the dancing come the eating and drinking. But what you said bout just moving is so right, I think I'ma work out with that advice! Thank you so much :D
