Monday will be the beginning of my 6th week and it's my weigh in day. I just finished my ToM, thank goodness, and when I weighed myself this morning, I was 188! Wow. Seems I HAD been losing weight while on my monthly I just couldn't see it because of the retention. In 5 weeks I've lost 15lbs!

I have started working out a bit extra every day-every other day. Mostly cardio for about 30 min and some light weight training. Mostly for my legs and butt. I had to find smaller clothes to fit me as my pants I WAS wearing are now way too big for me. I had this beautiful pair of pants I bought not long ago, 18w (these were TIGHT on me when I bought them but manageable) and now THOSE are falling off my butt.

I am ECSTATIC that I am losing weight AND inches, but omg it's a pita trying to find pants to fit. They will fit my stomach area but are extremely baggy in my butt and thighs or they fit perfectly in my butt and thighs but are a bit tight in the waist. My doctor did say the stomach is the last thing to go completely, but I wish I lost stomach first then butt and thighs because I'm kinda stuck in the middle.

But I'm happy to report that two pair of pants that are 18s and were tight as all get out are now lose as heck.

Looks like in 3 more weeks I just may lose 30 lbs total. Wow.

I say I average about 2-3lbs a week.

Looking forward to more clothing fitting woes because they're too big not too small.

I'm so excited. Only bad thing is, so I wouldn't wear the same pants over and over, I bought one new pair because I can NOW wear Kohl's Vera Wang collection: Simply Vera. The pants are a teensy bit snug, but I wear large shirts anyway so as long as I don't exhale more than usual, I'm good. lol

Oo, I hope 4 weeks from now, or 3 weeks, whichever, I'll have lost 30lbs total. I'm 5 away from 20! =D

So happy for you! You are really losing at an above-average rate! :)

And don't feel you're alone in the "finding the right fit" department. I'm a 6 and I can't find clothes that fit me without trying on a TON of different styles, designers and sometimes sizes.

And, yes, if you want to lose the middle, forget about the butt and thighs (or you'll have to add more exercise) to work on your middle. I don't remember how old you are but the older we get the more likely weight settles in our middle, so you'll have to work on that. That's STILL my nemesis. I have an "hourglass" shape but the "sand" is stuck just above and below my waist and it's not going away by itself. Drat! ;)

Anyway, you're doing AMAZINGLY well but if it starts to slow down (which also sometimes happens the closer we get to our "normal" weight), don't get discouraged. You're doing just great! Keep it up!

Thanks! My 'normal' weight would be around 140. Last time I saw 140 I was 18 and fresh out of bootcamp. I'm 34 now and I've been 200s since around 21/22. I know my body pretty well. It HATES being big. That could be why I'm losing 'faster than average' or it could be I'm exercising more and eating less. I DO eat of course, I just meant instead of eating 2 foot long subway sandwiches with yummy stuff or getting a large value meal from McDonalds PLUS nuggets and an extra box of large fries, I'm eating 6 smaller meals a day.

When I ate those LARGE helpings of food, it was for dinner. Basically I'd have for breakfast a ham sandwich, 2 glazed doughnuts and a granola bar for breakfast at work. Then NOTHING the entire day until around 8 or 9 when I ran to get us dinner from Wendys or McDonalds.

During the weekends, I'd eat no breakfast and no lunch but I'd eat enough portions to feed 4 people at McDonalds/Wendys. And water? The only water I had was from soups or my diet coke (never could drink regular).

So the way I'm eating now has shocked my body. I do have a MOMO once a week, either dinner or lunch (depending on what's being cooked and if it's the weekend or not), but my serving size is now one plate bigger than a plate used for tea cups and I don't add on salt or anything else bad and I don't make my portions enough to feed 4 people.

I did and still do walk briskly to and from work which is why I never went above 205 total before JC, but I wasn't losing anything either. Now I'm losing pounds and inches fast because I'm youngish, healthyish (I smoke, drink diet coke and take BP meds) and I drink tons of water. When I run out of JC snacks, I will eat sugar free pudding (the individual cups) or natural (no sugar added) apple sauce (in individual cups).

Like today, I have a meeting with a future employer and we're meeting at starbucks. I AM going to have a coffee, but it's going to be nonfat, no foam/no whip (and I could eat an entire tub of whipped cream if it wouldn't make me sick) and for a sweetner only use Equal. But this will be counted as one of my snacks since the Pumpkin Spice syrup has some sugar/fat.

But I think I'm doing **** good even if some weeks are a little slower than others.
